Artist Statement:
What is Your favorite Color ?
This is the kids equivalent of what do you do for a living. Lets bring it back as much more important fact about who a person is.
Intangible Quest: During the week notice colors and imagine mixing them.
Optional page: All of the rainbow. Paint an abstract heart and try using all the colors in it you can. You may feature your favorite color. Paint this in a meditative state. Relax and breath the entire painting. Just let your mind wander and mix colors on the pallet filling in all of the paper. Now while practicing a deep artful breath examine your painting. What is your favorite moment of the painting ( a place that just pleases you) On the back write what that was. ( Believe it or Not you may Forget)

Sheep Painting
My husband, John Lorson, commutes by bicycle to and from work. That's 25 miles in one direction. He takes his camera with him and will stop for amazing photos along the way. He has quite a wonderful collection. Over the pasta 10 years or more, he has created quite an impressive photo log of Wayne and Holmes County from the seat of his bicycle! This sheep photo just struck me artistically! I had to paint it. I love the lines of the trees the sheep and their quizzical looks. This was one of those moments that just magically came together for him. As he stopped to take a photo of the sheep, they were milling about and not noticing him. But, by the time he got to a good spot to shoot a photo, they all three lined up and just watched him. It's perfection in my mind. Now, I have so many other's I want to paint. Not enough time in the day! Stop and see me at Heartland Point on Thursday, November 15th from 3:30-5:30. John and I both

Oil paint color mixing tutorials. Earthy green in landscape
This week I mix up some earthy greens for the Waikato Painting in Part Three of this series. New Zealand paintings.
Acrylic pouring: Autumn/fall colours metallic madness easy abstract art with twin cups
My pouring medium used for my current work is a pre mix of 70% “Elmer’s glue all”and 30% water, (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pour medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed.
My paint brands varying, Mont marte studio acrylics, Global impasto paints and Byron paints both Australian made.
Other paints I love to use and work well with my pouring medium are Burrows paints, chroma A2,
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints the day before I’m going to paint and cover with a damp tea towel, as iv found I have much better results.
