WOWWW!! Mega Seafood and BBQ CAMEL in Morocco! INSANE Street Food and Seafood Market Tour!
Check out for 3 months free w/ 1 year pack and 49% OFF! ► TAI HAO LE MERCH:
Today we're going DEEP for a full-on SEAFOOD and BBQ Camel Adventure in Essaouira, Morocco! You can follow along as we find MEGA sized seafood like lobster and jumbo crab, and also go DEEP to the Had Dra Sunday farmers market outside of Essaouria to find some INSANE street food, like BBQ camel and a GIANT Moroccan Tajine!
► The BEST VPNs for China:
If you're thinking of coming to Morocco to eat street food, you're going to love it. In one day, you can travel from Marrakech to Essaouira, and try some of the best street food in the world.
We started out our MEGA seafood adventure and BBQ camel tour by first visiting the Sunday farmers market at Had Dra, a short bus ride outside of Essaouira. It was here that we found huge rows of different meats that you can bring to the corner of the market and BBQ up. Right away, I noticed a huge camel head hanging up and different cuts of camel. I knew it had to be done. So we purchased 1 kg of camel and brought it to the BBQ. It was honestly too tough and dry.
After this, we found another GIANT street food to try, the giant chicken tagine. It was so delicious and full of olive, potato, zuchinni, and Moroccan spice.
Next up, we went back to Essaouira in search of some of the best street food and seafood, and found some crazy stuff at the local seafood market. We found a GIANT LOBSTER, around 3.5 KG, and also had some raw seafood like sashimi. I found raw sea urchin, and also raw oyster! The sea urchin, sometimes called Uni, was quite strong! After that, we found a GIANT crab and GIANT LOBSTER at this seafood market. It was such a cool experience! The lobster was quite expensive actually, about $120, but so worth it!
Then we brought the lobster to a grill in the DEEP back streets of essaouira and feasted! It was honestly a little overcooked in some places but in other places it was perfect. I think that's because the lobster was so huge it was hard to cook evenly.
After this, we went to a local Lady's home to try some home cooked moroccan food, the world famous chicken cous cous. Here, it was juicy chicken over top of nutty cous cous with carrots, potatoes, pumpkin, and zuchinni. Moroccan street food is amazing, but the home cooked Moroccan cuisine is even better!
It was an incredible day in Essaouria, Morocco! We found a ton of amazing Moroccan street food and Moroccan home cooked cuisine!
The best part was definitely the JUMBO seafood like the giant lobster and crab, and I must say, the BBQ camel was not my favourite!

FAMILY TRAVEL adventures with a baby - Ep.01 Morocco
We are full-time travelers who are discovering the world with our little baby, Gabrielle. This was her first big adventure overseas. We visited Morocco for 3 weeks and traveled around Casablanca and through the Atlas Mountains in a campervan.
We ate some great food and embraced ourselves in a new culture. Morocco is definitely a place that we recommend.
SUBSCRIBE to our family adventures :
You can also continue to FOLLOW OUR ADVENTURES on INSTAGRAM as we explore more of the world together:
Who We Are:
Our little family is made up of Remi (Papa/Daddy), Lauren (Maman/Mummy) and Gabrielle. We are an international family and together we have 4 nationalities; Canadian, Australian, French and Bajan.
We love the outdoors, nature, camping, travel and lots of adventure! We have been traveling with Gabrielle since she was 6 weeks old when we did her first camping trip as a family.
We sold all of our belongings, gave up our jobs and headed out to explore the world as a family. Traveling full-time is not always sunshine and rainbows. It’s challenging and hard. It takes lots of organization and preparation but at the end of the day we have
memories in our heads rather than things in our pockets ... and that’s what we love!
Since having Gabrielle, we have traveled Australia, Morocco, France, Spain, Switzerland, China and Canada. In her first year of life she has traveled through 5 continents of the world and we don’t intend to stop.
Part 1 - Marrakesh
Day 1:
- Taxi to Riad Chorfa
- Mhamid Marrakesh (一座塔)
Riad Chorfa
Day 2:
- Palais de la Bahia (巴希亞皇宮)
- Palais el-badi (巴迪皇宮)
- Tombeaux saadiens (薩阿迪陵寢)
- Taxi (60 dh) to Jardin Marjorelle (YSL花園)
- Medersa ben youssef (阿里班約瑟夫神學院)
- Riad BE (ig網紅riad)
Riad Chorfa
第一次去非洲,呢個國家好熱情,每日都有唔同嘅男人同你講「You are so pretty」,「Kawaii」,「Where do you come from」,「What’s your name」,去完自信心大增呀????

Meknes (مكناس) is a city in the Middle Atlas region of Morocco. Quieter and smaller than its grand neighbour Fez, Meknes feels rather overshadowed and receives fewer visitors than it should. It’s more laid-back with less hassle, yet still has all the winding narrow medina streets and grand buildings that it warrants as an imperial city and one-time home of the Moroccan sultanate.
Sultan Moulay Ismail, the architect of Meknes’ glory days, might be a little disgruntled at the city’s current modesty, but visitors will find much to be enchanted by. Remnants of no less than three sets of fortifications, ingeniously incorporated into the city's road networks, make it clear how important this city once was. The king's tomb sits at the heart of what remains of the original imperial city, flanked by an almighty royal granary, the magnificent Bab El Mansour – the likes of which even Fez can't compete with – and Place El Hedim, a local mini-me of Marrakesh's popular square Djemaa El Fna.
Fez driving you nuts? Nearby Meknes is a vibrant, modern city bustling with nightlife, restaurants and an impressive royal palace. Since it's relatively ignored by most tourists, it's also free of the usual hassles (touts, faux guides, etc) that plague the other tourist centers.
While Meknes is an imperial city with a lot of historical monuments and natural sites; It is also the nearest city to the Roman ruins of Volubilis (Oualili). The prices in Meknes are among the most reasonable in Morocco and the people are much more polite and nicer than in the other cities.
The ville nouvelle (new town), which is known as Hamrya in Arabic, is easily navigated on foot, as is the medina. The two sides of town are connected by a bridge over the dry Oued Boufekrane (river), with a McDonald's placed conveniently in between for weary (or wary!) travelers.
Most budget hotels are located along Rue Rouamzine, just before the medina. Hotel Maroc (Q1/2014 100 DH single; shared bathroom) and Hotel Regina (Q1/2014, 80DH single shared bathroom) sare two such choices. Keep in mind that Hotel Regina is very dirty and stinky, but very cheap.
Meknes Attractions such as :
Bab Mansour: Bab means gate or door in Arabic, and Bab Mansour is the largest and most striking of Meknes' many gates (27 gates). It's directly across from Place Hedim, the medina's main square.
Place Hedim: Recently redone with new brickwork, this square once rivaled Djemaa el Fna in Marrakech but is now significantly less exciting (though there are a few nice cafes and snack spots in which to people-watch).
Heri es-Souani: You can catch a glimpse of the grandeur of Moulay Ismail at these granaries, and sit beside the enormous Agdal Basin.
Meknes Royal Golf Course: This place is absolutely marvellous. The gardens are beautifully kept and it is entirely surrounded by palace walls
Medersa Bou Inania: A beautiful Qur'anic school.
Dar Jamai: Now a museum (Musèe Dar Jamai in French), this old palace is located at the back of Place Hedim. It now houses the Museum of Moroccan Arts, which is currently exhibiting artifacts, jewels, and old copies of the Qur'an.
Habs Qara: A huge underground prison where Moulay Ismail allegedly kept prisoners.
Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail : Although non-Muslims are not permitted to enter, they can view the tombs, which hold the body of Moulay Ismail and other relatives, from the entrance.
Al masjid AlAdam: Meknes' largest and oldest standing mosque (note: Non-Muslims are not permitted entry).
Medina of Meknes Mosque: A mosque that is built near a Qur'an school, which was built in 1350.
( Meknes - Morocco ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Meknes . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Meknes - Morocco
