Today we travel to Kichijoji and visit Inokashira park, many different side streets and the famous SUN ROAD shopping mall area.
Kichijōji (吉祥寺) is a neighborhood in the city of Musashino in Tokyo.
It is centered on the compact but very popular commercial area to the north of its train station and to the south a little and has an artistic, fashionable, from discount to the highest end shops and restaurants, bars and coffee houses. Kichijōji Station is served by the Chūō Line which go up to Tokyo central station just in 30 minutes, Sobu Line, Tozai Line and is also a terminus of the Keiō Inokashira Line, which takes passengers as far as Shibuya, another one of most fashionable shopping centers in Tokyo.

Shotengai Alley in Kichijōji, Tokyo ᴴᴰ ● 商店街 吉祥寺
► Here's a look at one of Tokyo's countless shotengais - this time in Kichijōji. This particular shotengai consists of a few connected alleys, which offers a mix of very small and simple diningbars, cafe's and snackfood shops.
I've shown a few other shotengais (in Shinjuku, Shibuya and Nakano) in some of my previous uploads, every time filmed in the evening. This time however, I went for a walk there in the late afternoon, when there was hardly any customers - except for a few early birds - just watching, as the shopworkers were preparing for tonights customers. - Enjoy!

Walking Tour 3: Tokyo Kichijoji - Inokashira Park
A walking tour of the Kichijoji area in Tokyo on Monday, Oct. 8th, 2012. I take a train on the Chuo Line from Shinjuku to Kichijoji, which cost 210 yen one-way. This is one of my favorite areas of Tokyo because of the atmosphere, the shops, restaurants, and park. The Inokashira Park and the Kichijoji area has become quite well-known for street musicians and street vendors.

Kichijoji is an interesting place in Tokyo with lots to see and do there. It is a very popular place to live and always ranks highly in livability surveys. This is my first walking video and was shot entirely with an iPhone 7plus on a Zhiyun Smooth Q gimbal. I started at the station and then walked along Sun road (covered walkway) and then through some of the backstreets, no real plan to my wandering.
This is my very first video of this type ... so please judge kindly :)

There are several shopping streets on the north side of Kichijoji, especially “Sunroad shopping street” and “Daiya street”, and there are a wide variety of shops.
“Harmonica Yokocho” with a retro look is located in a narrow alley just outside Kichijoji Station. Restaurants such as taverns are lined up.
“Kichijoji PETIT MURA” is a theme park where seven shops gather. It is a recommended spot to be healed in a fairy tale space.
