American Lawyer Release New Thriller Set In Micronesia
After spending some time in the Pacific, Robert Diemer, an American lawyer who is a writer at heart, wrote his first novel The Widow's Son with the Federated States of Micronesia and the Micronesian region as its setting.
The The Widow's Son, a tropical island mystery, follows an American attorney Drake Burnham, who agrees to defend Jangle Elwell, a mysterious, trouble-making Kosraean.
Faced with Max Coleman, a tough Judge in Pohnpei, Burnham is forced to solve a bank robbery and murder in paradise.
Although The Widow's Son is fictional, the story in itself reveals some realities of Micronesia and its people --- bringing the characters life.
With a thrilling story, the book is gaining attention in the region, but is also garnering attention with international readers.
College of Micronesia is in the process of bringing in the book to the FSM.
The novel also available on amazon.com and barnesandnobles.com.
Mr. Diemer also expressed that the book will be made available in Guam bookstores and hopefully other stores in the region.
