Chapman Creek and the Chapman Creek Hatchery
Chapman Creek is located on the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia. It's a popular recreational area, with hiking trails, waterfalls and spectacular scenery. It is also the drinking water supply for the lower Sunshine Coast.
Chapman Creek is home to many species of returning Salmon.The Chapman Creek Hatchery has played a vital role in the increasing numbers of returning salmon. They have been operating on the creek for over 21 years.

WFP - Quatse River Festival
Western Forest Products visited Quatse River Festival on World Rivers Day in September 2014. WFP is a large supporter of environmental stewardship on Vancouver Island and Coastal British Columbia.
Our stewardship partner, The Northern Vancouver Island Salmonid Enhancement Association (NVISEA), is a non-profit society that has worked to improve fish production, habitat, environmental monitoring, public education and community involvement in environmental stewardship on North Vancouver Island. They oversee and help manage the Quatse River Hatchery, Salmon Stewardship Centre and Regional Park & Campground. Find out more about their great work and visit them here:

Marble River Hatchery
NVISEA partners with the Friends of the Marble River Society to operate the Marble River Hatchery. This facility operates under the Department of Fisheres and Oceans Salmonid Enhancement Program's Public Involvement Program (PIP). The Friends of the Marble River Society is Northern Vancouver Island's largest volunteer organization oriented toward salmonid enhancement, stewardship and habitat restoration.
