Today I decided to go to METROPOLIS, ILLINOIS. This small city is known as the home of the fictional character SUPERMAN! Alongside the Ohio River, you will find the iconic giant Superman statue. Just across the street, you will also find the Superman museum and the souvenir shop. If you are a super fan and/or Superman enthusiast, this town will do you JUSTICE!!!

Recorded May 31 and June 1, 2004. The video begins with my arrival into Metropolis, Illinois and driving to Harrah's Casino. Next there is a bright full moon over the Ohio River from Fort Massac State Park. The video ends the next morning at the Superman statue in downtown.

I think my favorite piece was the Superman Dune Buggy. Also enjoyed seeing on the Telephone props and Phone Booths.
The collection has suffered from exposure to UV light from both the fluorescent bulbs and sunlight. I would suggest they correct this before more damage. A shame to see everything getting discolored.

Free tour of some Superman stuff from its early days to the present, enjoy.I do not own anything in this exhibit, but it was a nice learning experience and its nice to know that he was created by native Clevelanders Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
