Hey bro let's go for a SUP ! aunty has paid......
Sunday arvo Cody 14y and Regan 11y used their Christmas voucher for a first time lesson on Stand Up Paddle Boarding. The brothers looking very relaxed having a chat cruising under the bombing bridge in Raglan inlet with calm conditions. We asked Cody what was better Surfing or Stand Up Paddle and he said ( Stand Up Paddle because you can go further ! ) Fair comment. Yes a 12.6 SUP can get you 16km away on a trip in a couple of hours. Well done boys on your efforts today and see you again for a longer SUP tour soon.
Can Aunty pay for the next one ?

Surfing in Raglan - New Zealand's Biggest Gap Year – Backpacker Guide New Zealand
Day 20: Today we are surfing in Raglan – the most famous place to surf in New Zealand! Check out our activity of the day on New Zealand’s Biggest Gap Year!
Yesterday - Day 19 -
Tomorrow – Day 21 –
About this video:
Today we are in New Zealand’s most popular surf town, Raglan, so of course we are doing some surfing in Raglan!
After hanging out at the Raglan Backpackers, we go to our surf lesson in Raglan with Raglan Surfing School. The lesson takes place at Karioi Lodge where our surf instructor teaches us the basics of surfing in this beginner’s surf lesson in Raglan.
Next we hit Ngarunui Beach for our very first surf lesson! The sun is setting and it’s a beautiful time to be surfing in Raglan!
Ngarunui Beach is the perfect beach as a beginner surfer in Raglan. There is lots of white water near the shore and soft sand to land on if you are as bad at surfing as us! Nevertheless, we had a blast and would totally recommend surfing in Raglan!

Surf Safe Surf Coaching Raglan NZ Brandon / Canada Surf lesson
Canadian Ice Hockey player gets 20 second wave!
Brandon tried his skills out for the first time at surfing with Surf Safe down at Ngarunui Beach Raglan. The season is definately slowing down if you see the amount of people on the beach these days, but we still have a steady request for learning to surf at the most famous place in NZ to get some real quality West Coast waves. Brandon stands 6 foot 3 and recently took up skate boarding on those real small boards suprisingly, this has definately helped his progress on his first surf lesson. He biulds bridges back home for a living and is travelling around NZ on Holiday. We had dull weather all day but the sun came out strong just in time for Brandons last couple of waves. Nice !
Well done on your surfing looks like your going to be real good with more practice. Thanks for choosing Surf Safe for your lessons.

Who Owns The Ocean?
Is localism broken? While some people believe it is, there's a loophole in the ocean rights acquisition process that can gain anyone local status wherever they desire.
