the Surf Outreach is a community development program that specializes in behavioral development as well as skill building. Our goal is to assist personal growth in life skills and education.

Our daily routine consists of after school education, where staff and volunteers assist the learners with homework and other projects, where we work closely with the schools to ensure that all work is up to date. We provide them with an environment in which they can learn how to take control of their lives and their futures by using the grounding foundation of surfing as a reward for the efforts they put in.

I spent six weeks volunteering for a teaching and surf outreach program in Muizenberg, a beach community of Cape Town, South Africa. I had one of the most amazing times; not only is the country beautiful, but so are the people. This is just a short day-in-the-life video of me working and having fun with the kids!

Surf Masters Transkei Outreach 2014

We adventured up into the Transkei Region to Coffee Bay. We were able to help out at an orphanage called Carem Deo Foster Home. Along with connecting with the beautiful children, we blessed the orphanage by helping to fix up the building. We also helped fix some high school class rooms in Zutulele. Along with helping the surrounding community of Coffee Bay, we experienced some of its stunning beauty.
