Private Lake for sale, Canada
This is one of two lakes on our property of approximately 250 acres which we are advertising as for sale, we refer to this lake as the Big Lake. Situated in Quebec, 90 kilometres from Ottawa, the Capital of Canada. 5 cottages, 2 private lakes, 1 large storage shed 35 x 50 ........ gorgeous private estate with ATV and snow mobile trails throughout as well as being the next door neighbour to Papineau Labelle Park, one of the largest parks in the Province of Quebec. Our property is forested with mature trees and you cannot beat the hunting or fishing opportunities, a catch is assured. In the Big Lake you can fish for Speckled Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Bass, Perch, and Splake! Fabulous views of the lake and sunsets with world class settings. Only minutes away from all amenities and services of Notre-Dame-du-Laus or Val-Des-Bois. The property is approximately 55 minutes North of Ottawa, with very easy access. The Big Lake (Lac-à-la-Truite) has approximately 2.2 km of shore line and Lac Lefebvre has approximately 1.6 of shore line. The property has several kms of private trails and roads to enjoy and explore, off property you can explore forever. For those who wish to make their own maple syrup, the property has a section of sugar maples and for the nature lovers and hunters, the estate is home to wild turkeys, white tail deer, Canadian moose, black bears and bald eagles who every summer share the lake with a family of loons and beavers. The water is spring fed and Gin clear with a spectacular beach between the island and the shore, of white sand, the deepest part of the big Lake reaches 110 feet. The domain even has its own private island for even more privacy and seclusion. There are no motorized boats allowed on the Lakes and we are completely off grid, cottages are powered by solar and propane, Hydro is available and only a short distance away but we have made a conscience decision to stay off grid. A shooting cabin is built at one of the cottages with a 150 yard range. A true gem, solely family owned, within a reasonable driving distance for the nation's Capital. The owners are open to perspective offers, where financing is needed and are prepared to discuss those needs

Lake Cowichan hit hard by winter's wrath
LAKE COWICHAN -- Keeping roads clear and drivers safe during the winter months is a difficult task in the Lake Cowichan area, but brave snow plow drivers step up to the daunting task.
Overnight between 15 and 20 centimetres fell on Lake Cowichan. The white stuff choked off back roads and slowed many drivers to a crawl. This is where MainRoad plow operators step in and get the job done. Faced with the difficult task of piloting massive snow scrappers on narrow cliffed roads, these drivers put danger aside and clear roads to keep Cowichan open for business.

Horseshoe Lake in Jasper
These images were taken a few years ago during the Forest Fire Season that was ripping thru the Okanagan in British Columbia. You can certainly see the hazy condition in the air on most of these slides. Still beautiful country in the Jasper area....Enjoy and share if you like these images. :)
