Sept 11, 2011 Radiation check middle of the street Kashiwa Japan

This one is still on the hill, on an incline but I set it on a small crack that runs the length of the street. As you can see Kashiwa is very radioactive. Of course the sides of the street where everyone walks is much higher.

my friend let me borrow a geiger counter for 1 week. I checked my car filter and various other places and things in Yokosuka, Japan.

栃木市大平町真弓の「磯山」と呼ばれる低山の中腹に静まる、御祭神に建御名方命をお祀りした神社です。

天慶三年（939年）、藤原秀郷が平将門の反乱を平定するに当り苦戦を強いられ、信州諏訪大明神に戦勝祈願をしたところ、勝利して判官代に任ぜられたことにより、磯山の山上に勧請、西御床十二郷を神領として寄進したのがはじまりといわれております。

I got different readings within the same area. I also want to mention that Tepco had been opening the doors at night and releasing some steam during this week and the wind blew our direction from Fukushima from the 14th of June to the 16th, if I recall correctly. I did Check other schools in Yokosuka and Miura but I did not record because I did not have official permission from the schools to take readings. The other schools had similar readings.

This Geiger counter takes a 60 sec reading then puts out an average. I don't quite understand how it works but I noticed that it goes up to a higher number then zeros out then goes up a gain during that one minute. If anyone has any info of this type of reader please explain. Thanks
