Japan Vlog #11: Matsumoto castle, Shirakaba & Suwa lake in Nagano
Nige & June come down to centre part of Nagano prefecture. We passed around Shirakaba-ko or Shirakaba lake, which is still frozen and white. Very beautiful.
Then we went near Suwa-ko or Suwa lake. We could see Suwa lake from higher point of express way.
Then we went to today's main landmark, Matsumoto castle. Matsumoto castle is one of the three Japanese treasure castle (Other two are Hikone & Himeji castle).
View of Matsumoto castle was magnificent!

Does JAPAN Look As BEAUTIFUL As It Is In ANIME ? Kimi No Na Wa SPECIAL | Your Name 2017 Edition
Best Anime movies must watch anime movie top anime 2017 new anime scene shows film top 10 top 5 list Anime Kimi No Na Wa ( Your Name ) and One Punch Man Special Episode !! Real Vs Fake Anime ! HiHACKER
Best Anime Movies 2017 :
Actually, yeah. In fact, most of the locations/cities shown in anime do exist in real Japan. They are taken as an inspiration for the writers and to immerse them completely in the story.
I've read about Saitama’s apartment earlier, the city of Setegaya is a special ward in Japan that was used as inspiration for Z-City, the home of Saitama, Genos and several other superheros who defend the city from mysterious beings. You may recognise some of these spectacular images from episode two of the series.
Here are some more real life places in Japan that are a part of our favourite anime-
The setting in Tokyo Ghoul(as the name suggests) is based on the wards in real-life Tokyo. You won’t find the exact buildings and organisations in the manga and anime here, but it’s still possible to walk around in the footsteps of your favourite characters, without the risk of being preyed upon and consumed by ghouls!
My point is,if the places from anime exist in Japan, doesn't that make Japan as beautiful as anime? :)
You can literally hold a picture of anime scene at these places and see your characters becoming real!!
I’ve recently watched the anime movie Kimi No Na Wa and was very much fascinated by the amount of detail Makoto Shinkai has added in the movie.
Look at some of these:
NTT DOCOMO YOYOGI BUILDING – TOKYO
This theater is in Shinanomachi and the location was used for the sunrise during the opening scene.
PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE AT SHINANOMACHI STATION – TOKYO
This pedestrian bridge is located at Shinanomachi station and was used for the scene when Taki was calling Mitsuha
SUGA SHRINE – TOKYO
Suga Shrine is located in Tokyo and was used for the very last scene when Mitsuha and Taki pass each other on the stairs.
THE UNDERPASS IN SHINJUKU – TOKYO
This underpass or intersection is located in Nishi-shinjuku and was also used in the first trailer.
THE NATIONAL ART CENTER,
This is located in Roppongi and was used for the scene when Taki takes Miki on a lunch date. Miki is a stylish university student who is also working at the same Italian restaurant as Taki.
AOGASHIMA ISLAND
Aogashima is a volcanic island and is located south of Hachijojima. This island is said to be the model of one part of Itomori town, Mitsuha’s hometown and it is important place for Mitsuha and Taki to reach the truth. Since the island is such as remote location, just getting there is an adventure. There is only one helicopter that goes to and from the island and it seats only nine passengers. The best way to get to Aogashima is take an airplane from Haneda airport to Hachijojima island. Then transfer to a helicopter there. If you decide to go by boat, there is only a 50% chance that you will actually make it there. This is due to the lack of beaches and natural bays on this island which makes docking any vessels risky and dangerous
HIDA-SANNOGU HIE SHRINE – GIFU
This shrine is located in Gifu and was used as the model for the Miyamizu Shrine, which is the symbolic shrine in Itomori. This is where Mitsuha performs a Japanese traditional dance with her little sister. This shrine is actually used for the Takayama festival, one of biggest Japanese traditional festivals, so you might be surprised by the difference in size between the real thing and the animated version.
This lake is located in Nagano and was used as the symbolic lake in Itomori. It is important place for Mitsuha and Taki to discover the truth. There are many sightseeing spots in Suwa other than Lake Suwa. In Suwa City Kohan Park, visitors can enjoy the spectacular view of the Japan Alps while soaking their feet in a footbath. Tateishi park overlooks the whole city and it is surprising how much the real scenery and the scene from the movie resemble each other. There is also Suwa Taisha Shrine and Takashima castle. Around Lake Suwa there are several hot springs so if walking gets too tiring, visitors can relax in a bath while looking at Mt. Fuji. During the summer at Lake Suwa there are several firework shows
The actual bus stop was exactly like the one in the anime, including the mail box, the hut and the signboard. Inside the bus stop a movie poster of “Kimi no Na wa” was put up so that people would recognize this place was used in the movie.
I heard people often come here and take photos, with three people striking poses similar to those in the movie scene.
By the way this place is located in Miyagawacho Ochiai, Hida City Gifu Prefecture.
The movie was an absolute masterpiece too. It portrays the beautiful scenery of Japan vividly. I’m very much fascinated by their culture and ethics.
I surely wanna visit Japan for once in my life time :D

EXPLORING TOKYO'S oldest and historic SHINTO SHRINE (Suwa Shrine), JAPAN
SUBSCRIBE: - Suwa Shrine has long been famous for its big festival, called Nagasaki Kunchi (held on October 7-9 each year), and it is one of the largest in Japan, in terms of both the number of participants and the number of spectators. It has been designated by the government as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. The whole neighborhood is filled with people dancing, carrying unusual palanquins, and pulling floats, while the traditional festival chants echo all around.
Japan is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean with dense cities, imperial palaces, mountainous national parks and thousands of shrines and temples. Shinkansen bullet trains connect the main islands of Kyushu (with Okinawa's subtropical beaches), Honshu (home to Tokyo and Hiroshima’s atomic-bomb memorial) and Hokkaido (famous for skiing). Tokyo, the capital, is known for skyscrapers, shopping and pop culture.
