Korea Vlog 2: Suwon Day Trip!
Hey everyone! Today Liam and I took to day trip to a large town just south of Seoul in South Korea: Suwon! Suwon is famous for being the almost capital of South Korea, it has a large fortress wall which surrounds the city, a temporary palace and a hanok village! In this vlog we visit the fortress wall, walk along most of it, see some archery and visit the palace. I hope you enjoy!

The Korean Folk Village in Suwon South Korea is a fabulous living museum. There are many types of traditional houses set beside a stream with artisans demonstrating their skills, performances, museums and film sites from Jewel in the Palace. Todays Vlog Wolrd Wide is in the city of Suwon, South Korea was amazing, beautiful and so much fun, there was tons of touristy places. the food was incredible the Korean Barbecue and the soju tasted like water but hit like a rock! and all of this just from my iPhone.

Hello all! First video I made traveling around the outskirts here at Osan AB. This takes us to...Suwon! My friend ( and I walked around a bit and checked out some small markets and really just toured around to see what we can find.
I think with my next video I will go slower with the shots, because the detail unfortunately, isn't as fine in this video. Don't worry...there will be plenty of vlogs just like this to capture all of what South Korea has to offer...enjoy!

Suwon -lies about 30 kilometres (19 miles) south of Seoul. It is traditionally known as The City of Filial Piety. With a population close to 1.2 million, it is larger than Ulsan, although it is not governed as a metropolitan city.
Suwon has existed in various forms throughout Korea's history, growing from a small settlement to become a major industrial and cultural center. It is the only remaining completely walled city in Korea. The city walls are one of the more popular tourist destinations in Gyeonggi Province.

Autumn in Korea: Day 2 ???? Exploring Suwon ????
Falling in love (again) with Korea during our 9D8N #graduotrip ????????????????
Suwon is located about 1 hour plus from Seoul. We started the day by visiting Korean Folk Village (KFV), a living museum of Korean traditional culture. We were amazed by how many Koreans were there and we were the only two hijabis around. Included in the video is direction to get to KFV.
Next we went to explore Hwaseong Haeungung and Suwon fortress. Delicious dinner was at Dongdaemun grilled fish alley and we later enjoyed the night vibes at Dongdaemun Design Plaza.

I have been walking the entire Hwaseong (Brilliant Castle/ Fortress) is the wall surrounding the centre of Suwon, the provincial capital of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
You will also see from the video I am stopping by the old city centre where the local and elders go on their lives how they did for many years and keeping with the traditions.
I walked through the market place and met many of the local and learned and enjoyed the way of life from them and participated and took on the requests and offers to sing and dance to traditions folk music also to indulge in traditional style of Korean BBQ pork and other meats in a live cooking and eating session.
They also offered me some local brew which i has to politely refuse cause I had to drive and as I always travel alone.
It is always a great experience to travel alone and stop and meet people and able to learn it from them you will see the amount of interaction with local in this video and many of my others videos on line.
Live communications are all about knowing the meaning of life at that moment

The Hwaseong Fortress is the most famous historic site in South Korea and the centre of Suwon, a city with a population of around a million, is dominated by the impressive looking fortress. The twenty-second monarch of the Korean Joseon Dynasty, King Jeongjo, ordered the construction of the complex in 1794.It is like a large open air museum and measures a hundred and thirty hectares, its walls extending for five kilometres. Indeed, the unique value of the fortress has been recognised by Unesco who have designated it as a World Heritage Site. A walk through the fortress could take several hours but it is well worth making the time to enjoy the splendour of the buildings. The majestic towers of Hwaseong continue to rise proudly into the sky above Suwon as a noble landmark of the city and also the Joseon Dynasty.
