EXPLORING Swallow Falls Waterfall VLOG: Betws-y-Coed In WALES 2019
WALES VLOG - Swallow falls are probably the most beautiful waterfalls in Wales (Well one of them at least). They're near Aberystwyth! This is named something like Betws-y-Coed but it's a beautiful place to go.
Swallow Falls is a name coined by early tourists for the Rhaeadr Ewynnol (English: Foaming Waterfall), a multiple waterfall system in Wales, located on the Afon Llugwy near Betws-y-Coed, in Conwy County Borough.
I spent a week in Wales, England. This trip was to do some hiking, see what it’s like walking around the streets, and exploring the Welsh countryside. This video is a sort of combination between a street walking video and a hiking vlog. I wouldn’t say Wales is a great place for digital nomads, but it’s certainly nice to get away and explore the countryside.

Swallow Falls. Biggest flood in living memory. (Bottom Platform under water) 16/3/2019.
Heres another view from the main waterfall:
I was camping in North Wales and Anglesey for 9 nights through the windiest and rainiest weather ive experienced and then came a night and a day of extreme rain just to top it all off. The ground couldnt soak up any more water and so came the big flood. Whole valleys were white with water and flooding. I thought it would be exciting to view some waterfalls and Swallow Falls came to mind. After driving through rivers running down the main roads i got here and i wasnt dissapointed!

The waterfalls at Betws y Coed in Wales, England 2
Description
swallow falls betws y coed
swallow falls betws y coed
Swallow Falls, Holyhead Road, Betws-y-coed (1926)
A view of the famous Welsh beauty spot.
This extract comes from Claude Friese-Greene's 'The Open Road' - originally filmed in 1925/6 and now re-edited and digitally restored by the BFI National Archive. Britain seen in colour for the first time was heralded as a great technical advance for the cinema audience - now we can view a much improved image, but one which still stays true to the principles of the colour process.
The rather haphazard journey from Land's End to John O'Groats creates a series of moving picture postcards. Look out for shots containing the component colours - red and blue-green - such as when a little girl in a red coat and hat walks among peacocks in the grounds of a castle, and three girls with red curly hair pose by the sea at Torquay.
The car is a Vauxhall D-type - considered a sporty model at the time. A long-distance journey by car was a relatively new concept, with none of the amenities en route now taken for granted. The visit to a petrol station shows smoking on the forecourt: no health and safety issues back then! The travelogue ends with a series of recognisable London landmarks. Much remains the same - one major exception being the volume of traffic on the roads. (Jan Faull)
