Farne Islands 2015
Just off Seahouses near Bamburgh, Northumberland, England
I went along with the camera club to snap some photos, and as you may imagine with so many gifted and thusiastic photographers on one boat trip, we captured a few fabulous photographs of the wild sea life... mostly seals and seabirds including Puffins, Guillemots, Eider Ducks, and Cormorants
There was a lot of divebombing from the Guillemots as they were protecting their eggs... some of them were even laying eggs by the side of the footpaths.
Breeding SPECIES spotted; PAIRS/NESTS
Puffins, Guillemots, Eider Duck, Fulmar, Cormorant, Shag, Kittiwake, Sandwich Tern, Common Tern, Roseate Tern, Arctic Tern, Razorbill, Black Headed Gull, Herring Gull, Lesser Black Backed Gull, Great Black Backed Gull, Oystercatcher, Ringed Plover, Mallard Duck, Mallard, Duck, Rock Pipit, Pied Wagtail, Shelduck, Red B. Merganser, Swallow,
The boat trip took us out past the lighthouse where the pilot gave us some history about the Grace Darling rescue and also her father and grandfather's story.

Spring Common Frogs
Hundreds of Common Frogs have recently arrived back at Northumberland Wildlife Trust's Headquarters, completely filling the small pond. I spent today immersed in their sound, observing their behaviours.
Filmed on a Sony FS7.
