My first week as a ballet dancer with the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Company.

Hi Youtube, my name is Lara Paraschiv and I am one of the very first Canadian's to attend the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia and now currently one of the first Canadians to join the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Company.
Many of you follow me on instagram where i post my progression while staying in the company.
From this I have recieved many inquiries about the academy, the company, living in Russia, tips for improving ballet technique, Russian food and more!
I have created this youtube channel to answer all of your questions and share my experience at the academy with you.

Swan Lake 2016 - Russian State Ballet and Opera House
The Russian State Ballet and Opera House will burst onto the stage again with a new and exciting performance of Swan Lake, and will bring with them all the colour, enthusiasm and vibrancy that one would expect.
A compelling legend of tragic romance tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil curse, and choreography that allows the very best dancers to show just how impressive they can be.
Prince Siegfried chances upon a flock of swans while out hunting. When one of the swans turns into a beautiful woman he is instantly captivated – will his love prove strong enough to break the evil spell that she is under?
Featuring a timeless score from the incredible composer Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky, Swan Lake is a certified Russian classic, replete with evocative music and beautiful choreography.
Other highlights include the charming Dance of the Little Swans performed by a moonlit lake and sweeping ballroom waltzes in the splendour of the Royal Palace.
It is an opportunity for ballet lovers to see Swan Lake as never before with an established and long standing Russian theatre that continues to grow on the international stage and win awards in the field of opera and ballet, and is an unmissable treat for the whole family.
