Cameras and camera gear:
When I travel I try and keep my gear minimal.
Vloging Camera:
I have an old Sony Handycam Optical Steady Shot “HDR-GW55” that I bought somewhere in Eastern Europe possible Latvia, I think??? I love this camera, it is water proof and is a pistol grip.
Action Camera:
I use a Drift Innovation Action Camera. These are like the popular Go-Pro. They are a personnel choice and I love it.
Cannon 600D DSLR:
Twin Lens Kit. I had my first DSLR stolen in Rome and have only recently managed to convince myself to by another one. I will learn to use it someday.
Gear:
I tiny micro tripod, Drift Innovation Time-lapse mount, suction cup mount and that is about it?
Editing Software and Computer:
I use Final Cut Pro X and Compressor, on a Macbook Air 11”. It is a little underpowered for FCPX however it is so compact that I can carry it everywhere.
One Life, One Search,
Peace Out.

The Swan Valley (Perth, Western Australia)
As a gift for my 50th Birthday, my wife took me on a romantic week-end adventure in the Swan Valley.
The Swan Valley is located only 25 minutes east of Perth, the Swan Valley is Western Australia's oldest and most visited wine growing region.
The area was explored in 1827 by Captain James Stirling later to become governor of the Swan River Colony. Stirling was so impressed with the area the he wrote in his diary:
...the richness of the soil, the bright foliage of the shrubs, the majesty of the surrounding trees, the abrupt and red colour banks of the river occasionally seen, and the view of the blue mountains, from which we were not far distant, made the scenery of this spot as beautiful as anything of the kind I have ever witnessed...
The Swan Valley is noted for its fertile soil, uncommon in the Perth region, and the recent expansion of tourism-based destinations.
It is a valley laced with ribbons of vineyards and is home to over 150 places to wine and dine - including award-winning wineries and restaurants, microbreweries and distilleries. It is also home to roadside stalls selling fresh local produce, historical architecture, art and craft galleries and studios.
Beer lovers will be delighted to know that there is more to the region than just wine. The Swan Valley has five boutique beer outlets, including several micro breweries offering a wide selection of more than 20 varieties of beer to tempt the palate and two German-style cafes serving their own brews with hearty, beer friendly fare.
The Swan Valley is also renowned for its mouth watering food, and with good reason. Today there are more than 70 restaurants and cafes in the valley, along with companies making fresh nougat, chocolate, ice cream and honey on the premises.
I do not own the music in this video and no ownership rights are claimed.

Spirit of the Swan Book Launch at Houghton's Winery
Joining the Swan valley and Regional Winemakers Association on July 31st 2014 – at Houghton Wines – we captured the launch of an important and historic moment in the Swan Valley story. Emceed by Tony Mann and introduced by brother Dorham their grandfather George was the original winemaker at Houghton’s and their father Jack produced the first complete range of first class wines and a pioneer of the West Australian wine industry.
The occasion was to celebrate 180 years of winemaking in the Swan Valley and the launch of the book “Spirit of the Swan” by Michael Zekulich.
