City Takes Crucial Steps for New Integrated Facility
As the City of Swift Current continues to grow, sights are set on adding a number of new facilities all under one roof. A series of steps are required to make the project a reality including the hiring of key consultants and expertise.

Unique Wellness Centre Proposed for Swift Current
The Cypress Health Region is busy working behind the scenes to make a new Wellness Centre a reality adjacent to the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. The facility would include a range of healthcare departments including physical therapy, swimming pool, walking track and other amenities.
Chinook School Division Continues to be an Educational Leader
The past year proved to be one of accolades for the Chinook School from its finances to various instructional programming. Chinook students boast higher grade scores and graduate rates than other centers in the Province.

On July 19th, some crazy clouds blew through Swift Current. You've probably seen lots of pics of it, but no media outlets got actual video. I shot this on the blackberry from my patio. Not award winning stuff, but kinda cool.

Great Plains College, City of Swift Current, U of R MOU

At a news conference at Great Plains College on February 8th, 2016 a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between The City of Swift Current, Great Plains College and The University of Regina. oon an entire first year course load from U of R will be available at Great Plains College along with other potential partnerships!

Battleford Trail Pilgrimage - Saskatchewan History & Folklore Society

A group of individuals travel the historic Battleford Trail in this modern day pilgrimage. The trek began in Swift Current and ended in North Battleford spanning over 300km. The trail was originally used for trading purposes in the early days of Canada.

This was a project of the Saskatchewan History and Folklore Society
and took place in August 2017.
