This is a fantastic spot, and super important to the development of the science of geology over the last few hundred years. Fly with us through the World Heritage Sardona in eastern Switzerland. Discover the magic line, a gigantic planar structure cutting through the mountain scenery. This structure is called an thrust, its clear three-dimensional exposure is exceptional and a key behind understanding the formation of the alps and mountain ranges in general!
The World Heritage Sardona therefore presents a dramatic display of mountain building processes through continental collision and is a key site for the geological sciences since the 18th century.

The Swiss Alps are a classic locale to study for geologists. The formations are structurally complex, and a lot of pioneering work in structural geology was done in the Alps. We'll see what secrets those jagged peaks have reluctantly let slip.

Com&Com: TEKTONIK. Stop over in Zurich (Bellevue)
TEK, TO and NIK is a new traveling sculpture by Swiss artist group Com&Com. tektonik.ch
On occasion of the 10th anniversary of the UNESCO World heritage natural site Tectonic Arena Sardona Switzerland, three 6 - 11 tons Verrucano stones from the three cantons Glarus (TEK), St.Gallen (TO) and NIK (Grisons) are traveling traveling one year across Switzerland, visiting other UNESCO World heritage sites, such as the St.Gallen Abbey District, the old town of Berne, the Prehistoric Pile Dwellings around the Alps in Zurich and the RHB World Heritage route (Feb - April 2018). Later they stop at the biggest sculpture show in Europe in Bad Ragaz (May - Nov 2018) before returning back to nature.

Climbing on the Segnesboden
Why not take a break from biking and try a new adventure? The climbing garden at an altitude of 2,100 meters offers beginners and families a taste of the fascinating sport of climbing. The 31 climbing routes with varying degrees of difficulty ranging from 2a to 6b are located on the eastern and western sides on lower Segnesboden. The Climbing Garden is open until mid-October, depending on the weather.

Ticket to the Moon Hammock World Record Sardona, Flims Switzerland
On Sunday 23 June 2019 a world record attempt succeeded in Flims. 26 hammocks were installed on the rope of the Graubergbahn and for 4 hours acrobats without vertigo and locals from Flims enjoyed the scenery of the World Heritage Sardona.
With 26 hammocks and 30 people, the record set in Monte Piana in the Italian Dolomites in 2015 was topped. Back then there were 26 people in 17 hammocks. In addition to the hammocks, there were also acrobats this time. The aerial acrobatics were particularly spectacular and performed on vertical silks and in a ring.
The location at the Graubergbahn was ideal because the cable is
not too steep. At the same time, the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona could also be included and spectacularly presented in the background.
The world record was set by Swiss Slackline, Ticket to the Moon and Flims Laax Falera Management AG.
