Parramatta Station - Sydney Australia | Sydney Trains
Parramatta Station, Sydney Australia | Sydney Trains
Parramatta railway station is a herigate-listed railway station located on the Main Western line, serving the Sydney suburb of Parramatta in New South Wales, Australia. It is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western Line, T2 Inner West & Leppington and T5 Cumberland Line services and NSW TrainLink Blue Mountains Line, Central West XPT and Outback Xplorer services.
Parramatta station is one of Sydney's oldest. Sydney's first line connected Sydney and Parramatta Junction near Granville and opened on 26 September 1855. It was extended to the current Parramatta station on 4 July 1860.
Prior to the Main Western line being quadrupled from Granville to Westmead in 1985, the station consisted of four platforms, platforms 3 and 4 on the main line and 1 and 2 on a loop.
In late 2003, work began on a new transport interchange which linked the station to the neighbouring Westfield Parramatta shopping centre. The works included upgrading the station, providing more access to commuters, and constructing a new bus interchange. On 19 February 2006 the interchange was opened.

Sydney's NEW Driverless Train: A Review of the Sydney Metro (opening day)
if you wana support me even MORE:
PATREON:
--
They Sydney Metro opened for the public on the 26 May 2019. I was pretty excited because this is Australia's first fully automated rail system AND i've never been on a completely new metro before so i was keen to go see what it's all about.
On it's opening day, everyone gets to ride the sydney metro for free (otherwise $2.70 given it's a Sunday), and boy, there were so many people. Like literally swarms of people crowded at Chatswood station. I essentially did 4 trips: Epping to Chatswood (return) and Epping to Castle Hill (return).
I'd boarded the train at Epping station at around 1:08PM to get to Chatswood, with the intention of doing the full metro route to Tallawong. The train got delayed at Macquarie Uni & Macquarie Park stations, before arriving at Chatswood at 1:53PM. When i'd gotten to chatswood the crowd was way too huge. I wasn't able to get to the platform from within the station (it was all fenced off), so i decided to wait a bit before trying on the Chatswood to Tallawong train again.
Hope you enjoy my review of the Sydney Metro - interesting to see how they'd do during peak hour though.
EDIT (27 May 2019):
While there were technical glitches, the sydney metro passed it's first weekday peak pressure test and the sentiment was overall positive.
ABOUT ME:
I'm a millennial who quit my corporate job in banking & finance in December 2018 to live life the way I want, everyday. I knew something wasn’t right when days all started to blur together and nothing stood out.
I want to see different places. I want to experience new things. I want to meet new people. I want to do something for the first time again.
This is the beginning of my journey to doing that, and to figuring out how I can generate income that will allow me to live life my way, every day.

Quote from the Sydney Metro website:
Sydney Metro offers a new generation of fast, safe and reliable train services. Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains, which can quickly take you between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station. With frequent services you can just turn up and go. The metro stops at 13 stations along the Metro North West Line, including 8 new metro stations and 5 upgraded stations.

OMG the Sydney trains were next to Tokyo, the most complicated system to understand for me :( Wish I had someone tell me about them before I arrived, and hopefully this video helps you!
Sydney was the first city in Australia I decided to make videos in, I stayed there for over a month and tried to experience life as a local. My videos will have some tips on tourism, but mostly I cover topic related to day to day life, like safety in the city, public transportation, how to get a data sim card and so on. I shot over 30 videos including a couple in Mandarin!!
Love YouTube, but you should really also check out my web page! Lots more information, links, maps, tips and other videos that you might like, not to mention everything is neatly arranged under country categories too! If you look under Sydney you will see some of the other videos I’ve done.

Sydney to Brisbane Train Journey on NSW TrainLink XPT Vlog
A train ride from Sydney to Brisbane on NSW TrainLink XPT
XPT is a long distance interstate train which is operated by NSW TrainLink of New South Wales from Sydney and one of these routes are connecting Sydney and Brisbane in Queensland. I used the cheapest class fare on this train, the Economy Class costs $45 (non-refundable) and the 14 hour journey takes too long for me on a train like this but Australians think that these train journeys are considered medium.
