The Tower, Christiansborg Palace - highest tower in Copenhagen
With a height of 106 meters, the tower on Christiansborg Palace is the highest tower in Copenhagen - 40 centimeters higher than the city hall tower.
Christiansborg Palace was once the home of kings and queens, but after one of several great fires, the royal family moved to Amalienborg Palace in the late 1800's and never returned.
The Tower was constructed as part of the third, and present-day, Christiansborg Palace, which was built during 1907-1928. Like the rest of the palace, it was designed by architect Thorvald Jørgensen.

♀Westend Penthouse in Vestebro
♀Day 1: We couldn't miss the colourful houses by the harbour. Nyhavn (pronounced 'Newhaven') was definitely one of our highlights. We also visited the Christianborg tower where we treated ourselves to a lovely afternoon tea and Danish pastries. Yummy in our tummy!
♀Day 2: Our waiter from the Taarnet restaurant got us intrigued in Christinia, the Freetown. The region spoke for itself; quite hipster-like and quirky. The self-proclaimed neighbourhood which bears its own flag is known for its liberal trade and hence pictures aren't allowed. We even got (somewhat coldly and scarily) asked to switch off our GoPro.
After our eventful visit, we allowed ourselves to wander down to the food market. Papiroen was a good shout.
♀Day 3: We had to get a glimpse of Andersen's Little Mermaid (Perhaps a girly activity?) although it was a smaller statue than we had expected. At least, we ticked it off our list.
Other places we visited: Copenhagen main library, Frederiks church, Opera house and Saviour church in Christinia.

Copenhagen - View from Christiansborg (time lapse)
Since June 2014 the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, has got a new vantage point: The tower of Christiansborg (finished in 1928). It is the highest tower in town (one meter higher than the tower of the concil hall Rådhuset).
Christiansborg houses the Danish parliament, the Folketinget as well as the offices of the Danish prime minister (Statsminister) and the Supreme Court (Højesteret). The tower had been closed for the public until June 2014, and was now opened.
The entrance is free. And you only need to climb the last 30 or so steps - the rest of way up is by elevator. The platform is in the height of about 80 meters.
I took this short time lapse video with a GoPro 3. You are looking in north-eastern direction. Low in the frame you can see the the place in front of the castle with the statue of King Frederik VII. Beyond the street crossing lies the church Holmens Kirke, and behind it the Danish National Bank.
The cupola in the left third is the Marble Church (Marmorkirken). In the middle background the Opera and the Royal Danish Playhouse (Skuespilhuset). (Left to the chimneys of the Amager incineration plant and powerstaton).
At the right border of the frame one can see a part of Børsen (the former Stock exchange). At the right end of the horizon line one might get a glimpse of the Swedish town of Malmö.
