Take a tour of Table Cape lighthouse with us. Still on our new year holiday in Burnie, Tasmania, we travel up to Wynyard to see the lighthouse and grab a burger.
The lighthouse is 130 years old and is still in service today, with the original lense.

An explosion of colours in TABLE CAPE TULIP farm | Wynyard, Tasmania
Every year during September and October, tulip season in Tasmania is one of the most spectacular draws to the Cradle Coast. We drop by to the farm and experience an explosion of colours on these tulip flowers, a pride here in Wynyard, Tasmania.
A tulip farm atop a 12 million-year-old volcano, Table Cape Tulip Farm features acres of patchwork fields that fly into a rage of colour each spring.
Unsurprisingly, people come from all over the world to see this spectacle, and delight in wandering through the farm. In fact, these are the largest tulip fields in the Southern Hemisphere that you can actually walk in. Join us as we delve into the explosion of colours through these fantastic flowers.

We headed up to the North West of Tasmania in another great spot called Wynyard. There's a lot of places to see in that area in general and we spent 5 days doing exactly that. Weather wasnt the best but we made the most of it as always. Enjoy.

130 years of the Wynyard Show
Wynyard Tasmania Australia is a centre of agriculture on the North West coast of Tasmania. It sits on the banks of the Inglis River sheltered by Table Cape, flat-topped and fertile.
The Wynyard Agricultural and Pastoral Society hold the Wynyard Agricultural Show or Carnival in March each year. The Show is one of Tasmania's oldest local shows and still retains its classic country feel.
Come and see the animals, watch the horses, or marvel at the giant pumpkins entered in the pumpkin growing competition.
Axemen compete in the woodchopping arena and sideshow alley and show-bags are still favourites for the kids and bigger kids.
hundreds of farmers who converged at the Wynyard showgrounds for some friendly competition and good conversation.
the Wynyard show served as a breeding ground for new farming ideas, networking opportunities and education.
“Showing the animals is just a small part of it because it’s also a good chance to meet with other farmers and hear what they’re doing, and what their experiences have been,” Mr Perkins said.
Preparations for the Wynyard show could start as far ahead as 12 months prior to the event.
Hundreds of attendees enjoyed fun food, fashion shows and displays of birds, sheep and rabbits at the show on Saturday.
The Wynyard Historic Society shared stories of the show’s long past and consistent popularity.
