Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is located in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra state, India. It is Maharashtra's oldest and largest national park.
This video is about only tigers which we encountered in our 1st safari only. We were lucky to witness tiger who was hardly some feet away from us.
There are many other animals which you might witness but main attraction for tourist is view of tiger only.
Apart from tiger and any other animals, you will also see high end cameras and super long lenses which you will not see very often.

Created in 1995, the Reserve includes the Tadoba National Park and the Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary. The Reserve consists of 577.96 square kilometres (223.15 sq mi) of reserved forest and 32.51 square kilometres (12.55 sq mi) of protected forest #Tadoba Andhari Reserve is the largest national park in Maharashtra. The total area of the reserve is 625.4 square kilometres (241.5 sq mi). This includes Tadoba National Park, with an area of 116.55 square kilometres (45.00 sq mi) and Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary with an area of 508.85 square kilometres (196.47 sq mi). The reserve also includes 32.51 square kilometres (12.55 sq mi) of protected forest and 14.93 square kilometres (5.76 sq mi) of uncategorised land.
To the southwest is the 120 hectares (300 acres) Tadoba Lake which acts as a buffer between the park's forest and the extensive farmland which extends up to Irai water reservoir. This lake is a perennial water source which offers a good habitat for Muggar crocodiles to thrive. Other wetland areas within the reserve include Kolsa Lake and the Andhari River.
Tadoba reserve covers the Chimur Hills, and the Andhari sanctuary covers the Moharli and Kolsa ranges. It is bounded on the northern and western sides by densely forested hills. Thick forests are relieved by smooth meadows and deep valleys as the terrain slopes from north to south. Cliffs, talus, and caves provide refuge for several animals. The two forested rectangles are formed of the Tadoba and Andhari ranges. The south part of the park is less hilly than the remainder.

Tadoba national park was started in 1955 and it was named after a local deity Taru, venerated by the tribals. According to mythology, Taru was a village head who was killed in encounter with a tiger. The shrine dedicated to God Taru, is located on the banks of the Tadoba lake.
The park was declared a Project Tiger reserve in 1993. It is one of the best tiger reserves of India as tiger population has increased rapidly. Tadoba National Park and Andhari wildlife sanctuary together form the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR).
For the convenience of tourists, jungle safaris are organized to facilitate tiger spotting.
Apart from tigers, you can also spot leopards, gaur, wild dogs, sloth bears, jungle cats, hyenas, sambar, cheetal, nilgai and barking deer. The park is also home to about 181 species of birds, which includes endangered and water birds. One can also spot marsh crocodiles and migratory ducks around the Tadoba lake.

The Chandrapur district of Central India is known for its tigers. Made famous by the Tadoba Andhari Tiger reserve, this region has had a dark history of Human - Tiger conflict. 2008 saw an unprecedented scale of attacks in this region, escalating to more than 40 deaths over a span of 3 years.
The reasons for conflict became clearer with a in-depth study of these conflict cases by conservationists of Tiger Research and Conservation Trust (TRACT). What they found was surprising and illuminating. More than 50 tigers live outside the protective areas
This short film by Evanescene studios gives an insight into the life of local communities co-habiting with tigers and leopards in fringe forests of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve; the reasons for conflict and its mitigation as recognised and implemented by Poonam and Harshawardhan Dhanwatey with their field team; the interventions by the Central and State government through policies and benefits to local communities of Chandrapur.
