Division Street Bridge Closure Impacts Berkshire Businesses | Connecting Point | Sept. 16, 2019
After securing $4 million dollars in May for repair or replacement, the Division Street Bridge in Housatonic, Mass. Is officially closed to traffic. Of the five bridges that cross the Housatonic River in Great Barrington, this is the second to be shut down for repairs in less than a year. And while it's already expected to have a negative effect on truck traffic in Housatonic Village and neighboring West Stockbridge, other local businesses have felt the effects of the closure. Connecting Point's Brian Sullivan stopped by Taft Farms in Great Barrington, MA to see how this local farm felt an immediate impact from the bridge work.
