Sri Hanuraga (Asian Connection) - Live Taichung Jazz Festival Taiwan 2019
Asian Connection is Michael’s second cd-recording hosted by the premier jazz club and epicenter for jazz and world music in Kuala Lumpur, the No Black Tie. A top notch rhythm section of emerging and established Asian artists comprising of Sri Hanuraga (Indonesia) on piano, Ikeda Kinya (Japan) on bass and Lewis Pragasam (Malaysia) on drums form the base.
Saxophonist Minyen Hsieh, one of the most active saxophonist in Taiwan, and the Chinese ethnic sound of the pipa by Tsai Hauyi will spice up the overall sound of this group. Compositions and arrangements are expected to be penned by Michael Simon, Minyen Hsieh and Sri Hanuraga. Their challenge is to incorporate the pipa into the sound of a jazz combo and to make music that seamlessly fuses the east with the west, the traditional with the new.
Huang Tzu Yu (Fish) is a Hong Kong based drummer and an active musician who is easily found in major music festivals and concerts across Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South-East Asia. Besides recording albums for himself and other musicians, he has emerged as a jazz musician and made himself relevant in jazz in the past few years. Huang was also dubbed as the Best Drummer of Yamaha Asian Beat Grand Final, and started his career in the entertainment industry with a contract signed with B’in Music in 2012. He is currently an endorser for Canopus Drums & Meinl Cymbals, and Schlagwerk.

【勤美誠品綠園道】!!!
勤美誠品綠園道之所以叫勤美誠品綠園道，是因為他有一棟主要的百貨公司，就叫勤美，然後裡面有個誠品書局XD
然後包圍著勤美誠品百貨的就是許多綠油油的草皮&樹蔭!!所以才叫【綠園道】
整條綠園道上都有很多文創的攤販，有幫人畫像的、賣手飾等等的攤販，然後在勤美百貨的對面有個綠色大草皮，很多人會去那個大草皮遛狗，好不熱鬧!!!
而且勤美綠園道都會有許多外國人，尤其是台中之前每年都會舉辦【爵士音樂節】，那時候的勤美綠園道就會聚集很多外國人，喝著啤酒聽著爵士樂~~一大享受啊!!!
Annie這次沒介紹勤美百貨公司裡面，是因為覺得外面的綠園道比百貨裡面好玩太多了呀!!!一定要來介紹的~~這樣來台中觀光的朋友們就能更了解哪邊才有好玩的!!更能玩得像當地人XD
雖然沒有進勤美百貨裡面介紹，但Annie不會不告訴你們!!裡面很多美食餐廳喔!!!

The Taichung Arts Festival kicks off on October 23 with a series of events across the city. The theme of the festival is Flower of the Century” as a special effort was made to expand cultural exchanges and offer citizens the chance to appreciate art in new ways.When literature meets hand puppets, there may be some unexpected chemistry. As one of the interdisciplinary attractions of the Taichung Arts Festival, this puppet show brings a light touch to literature.Also, when poetry is sung, it can be a new way for the public to appreciate literary works in daily life.Huang Min-hengTaichung Cultural BureauWe aim to blend literature with other art forms, for example, a concert that incorporates literary works and especially poetry.
