ARIMA ONSEN IN KOBE - Perfect Day Trip (有馬温泉)
I decided to go and check out the famous Arima Onsen here in Kobe. Conveniently located, it is a perfect day trip that I would recommend to anyone who has a day to spare while being in this corner of Japan.
While not being as scenic as let’s say Kinosaki, it still is a great place that has a lot to offer. And really, you can’t beat the location. Not only that but the golden water onsen, kin no yu, is unique to this area and is a perfect example that no onsen in Japan is like the other.
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to leave them down below in the comment section. I’d be happy to answer them.

8 JAPAN DAY 6 PART 1 WAKAYAMA CITY
Japan Travel: Things to Do, Explore and Experience in Wakayama Prefecture 29
Japan Travel: Things to Do, Explore and Experience in Wakayama Prefecture 29
Wakayama Prefecture is located to the south of Osaka. The capital of the prefecture is Wakayama City.
Wakayama Prefecture has many places for visitors to enjoy and explore. The best known tourist attraction is Mount Koya (Koyasan), the headquarters of Shingon Buddhism. Visitors who wish to experience an overnight stay at a temple can experience one here.
In addition to the overnight stay at the temple, visitors approach Koyasan to explore the Kumano Kodo, an ancient network of trials used by pilgrims to visit temples. The Kumano Sanzan, Kumano Hongu Taisha, Kumano Hayatama Taisha and the Kumano Nachi Taisha are also well visited in this area.
In addition to these spiritual experiences, visitors also come to Wakayama to enjoy the hot springs this region boasts. The Shirahama area is one of the top three onsen (hot springs) resort areas in Japan. Numerous onsen, including one of the oldest onsen in Japan, Saki-no-Yu, is in this area. Shirahama is also famous for its white sandy beach and famous rock formations, including Engetsu Island.
Children will be delighted to visit Adventure World with all its animals and rides. This park is famous for their twin pandas, and visitors will enjoy learning more about our Chinese animal friends here. In addition to the cuddly pandas, visitors can enjoy an African Safari, dolphin and other sea life show. There is a “feel” interaction area as well.
Wakayama Prefecture is blessed with nature, history, spirituality, and fun for all.

The music between traditional and cutting-edge sounds | HAIOKA | TEDxKobe

Haioka, inspired by popular-traditional Japanese arts such as Ukiyo-e and Kabuki, offers his unique musical interpretation of modern Japan that blends up the old and the new. He produces his music mostly through his Japanese harp he got from his grandmother, his own voice, and electronic sounds. Way more different from retro-culture or common remake versions of retro-culture, he is always trying to express unique Japanese sense of time and space called wabi-sabi, Japanese approach to try to live in harmony with nature, and Japanese virtue to find strong will in ambiguous words. His music takes various elements in as if weaving past and present into future. He is also highly acclaimed by overseas audience, bringing up new fashion of Japanese music to the world.
