Ervin Budge plays snooker beautifully, has for a long time.

He is 76, with a rubbery face, sad eyes and neatly combed hair. Budge, or Budgie as he’s always called, is one of the best players ever to come out of Ottawa. He will not, of course, lose in the semi-finals tonight. He will not lose in the finals the next night, though he has to give his opponent a 25-point head start.

Room overview - SPI inaugural event - University of Ottawa

On September 10, 2014, the University of Ottawa, in Ottawa, Canada, held a fancy inaugural event at the Chateau Laurier Hotel, of campus, to launch its new Security and Policy Institute funded by the main donor Symantec.

This was done on one-day's notice to the university community, without any consultation, and without any mention of the new institute at the so-called Board of Governers of the university.

The keynote speaker was George Friedman, Chairman of Stratfor, a US intelligence corporation. This was vintage US indoctrination for the willing Canadian elite. The cartoon depictions of geopolitics delivered in the 45-minute speech would hurt the brain of any informed person unaccustomed to the rubbish being delivered.

At times it sounded like he was recruiting clients from the avid-investor category. It was all over the map (literally), without providing any information. That tell us what he assumed about the intelligence of his audience.

This is just a panorama view of the banquet hall where Friedman spoke.

Ottawa Fury FC unveiled their Kit in a Fashion Show at Tailgators. Players strutted their stuff on the catwalk, and were joined by Mayor Jim Watson, and the new Fury Mascot.

As soon as we walked in, we smelled the great food, welcome by a nice waitress who was very friendly and made our ordering experience so simple. We loved the atmosphere. Food was served about 20 minutes later, hot, fresh, smell and taste great. We will definitely be back. Only thing we like to see added is Arabic music for Feirouz.
