Hongcun (宏村) is a village in Yi County county, Anhui Province, People's Republic of China, near the southwest slope of Mount Huangshan.
The village is arranged in the shape of an ox with the nearby hill (Leigang Hill) interpreted as the head, and two trees standing on it as the horns. Four bridges across the Jiyin stream can be seen as the legs whilst the houses of the village form the body. Inside the body, the Jiyin stream represents the intestines and various lakes such as the South Lake (Nanhu) form the other internal organs.
The architecture and carvings of the approximately 150 residences dating back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties are said to be among the best of their kind in China.[citation needed] One of the biggest of the residences open to visitors, Chenzhi Hall, also contains a small museum.
Together with Xidi, the village became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. Scenes from the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon were filmed on location in Hongcun.

Lingtong Temple: The most beautiful hanging temple
Lingtong Temple: The most beautiful hanging temple
Like the Xuankong Temple in Hengshan Mountain, the Lingtong Temple in Pinghe County is hanging too.It was built on craggy mountain, perching on cliff of the Qingtian Peak of the Mountain.
You must be shocked by the building on the crag. Though it is not as famous as the Xukong Temple, as it hides in scenic Lingtong Mountain, it is a wonderful place for tour. Built in the Tang Dynasty, the temple covers 910 square meters and embraces a southern pond of spring. Since its founding, pilgrim has swarmed there. What's more, in ancient time 7 scholars had lecture there.
The miraculous scene is that after rain, sunshine produces rainbow surrounding the temple, as it has water curtain falling from protruding crag above the temple because the mountain rocks, formed by volcano, are porous.
Ep.23-Desert Tourism in China -- BONTV
A camping festival was held in the National Desert Sports Park in ZhangYe (张掖) from June 29th to July 1st. During these three days, 2000 campers and outdoor sports enthusiasts came to the park to enjoy the recreational activities.
This event is the first stop in a series of camping festivals across the country to be held this year. It is hoped to bring together natural scenery and popular sports activities. During the festival, there was folk dancing and singing, and games and competitions. Visitors could also enjoy a camel ride, a motorcycle ride and could play volleyball on the sand. The event was held by the Mountaineering Association of National Sports Bureau, and the purpose was to promote outdoor sports.
Interview ( Zhang Huiling(张会玲), female, Outdoor enthusiast )I think this event is fantastic. And for middle aged people like us, it is easy and interesting to join in the activities. I feel younger than before. I hope they can make some changes to the traffic issues. It is not very convenient to arrive at the park. They should make it more comfortable for tourists.
Zhangye is a county located in GanSu province in the northern part of China. During ancient times, it was an important stopover on Silk Road to Central Asia. The area is home to diversified landforms such as glaciers, snow mountains, grasslands, deserts and the unique landscape of Danxia, which consists of red sandstones. To get to Zhangye, you can take a train from Beijing or Shanghai, or fly from Xi'an or Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province.

Situated perilously on the side of a mountain, photographs show how reliant this temple is on just one wooden pole to stop it from hurtling hundreds of feet down the slope.
Built in 1146, the Ganlu Temple is tucked inside a valley in Taining county, located in southeast China's Fujian province, with thousands of tourists making the tricky pilgrimage to the unique place of worship every year.
The awe-inspiring temple is made all the more unusual by the fact that it found 260 feet above ground, built into China's famous Danxia landform of red mountains, where the majority of the structure is supported by a single pillar.
The holy place's name, Ganlu, translates as sweet dew, due to a massive stalactite situated above the temple which drips spring water that locals say tastes 'as sweet as dew'.
It is considered to have healing properties and families who are struggling to have children make the journey to the temple, which worships Buddha, with the belief that visiting will help them to conceive.
It is said that the temple was built by Ye Zuqia, who had it built in her mother's honour after she promised to built a larger temple on the site after she visited the area having struggled to conceive, only to become pregnant shortly after.

SUMMARY
=======
Fujian (福建; alternately romanized as Fukien) is a province on the southeast coast of mainland China. Fujian is bordered by Zhejiang to the north, Jiangxi to the west, Guangdong to the south, and the Taiwan Strait to the east. Its capital is Fuzhou, while its largest city by population is Xiamen, both located near the coast of the Taiwan Strait in the east of the province. The name Fujian came from the combination of Fuzhou and Jianzhou (present Nanping), a city in Fujian, during the Tang dynasty.
While its population is chiefly of Han origin, it is one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse provinces in China. Historically the dialects of the language group Min Chinese were most commonly spoken within the province, including the Hokkien dialects of southeastern Fujian. This is reflected in the abbreviation of the province's name (閩). Hakka Chinese is also spoken, by the Hakka people in Fujian. Min and Hakka Chinese are unintelligible with Mandarin Chinese. Due to emigration, a sizable amount of the ethnic Chinese populations of Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines speak Hokkien.
As a result of the Chinese Civil War, Historical Fujian is now divided between the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Republic of China (ROC) based in Taiwan, and both territories are named the Fujian province in their respective administration divisions. The majority of the territory of historical Fujian (the mainland territory and a few islands) currently make up the Fujian province of the PRC. The Fujian province of the ROC is made up of the Matsu Islands, the Wuqiu Islands and the Kinmen Islands, the two latter archipelagos constituting Kinmen County.
With a population of 39 million, Fujian ranks 17th in population among Chinese provinces. Its GDP is CN¥ 3.58 trillion, ranking 10th in GDP. Along with its coastal neighbours Zhejiang and Guangdong, Fujian's GDP per capita is above the national average, at CN¥ 92,830. It has benefited from its geographical proximity with Taiwan.
