It is very easy to use and quite interesting as well. Follow me as I explore every detail there is inside and outside of Taipei's beautiful subway system!

Taipei Main Station can be extremely confusing to anyone including long time residents. I've tried to keep instructions on how to navigate the huge complex simple and if you follow the advice I give, mainly just using the signs above you for directions you shouldn't have too much difficulty getting around. I focused on the Taipei Main Station building where you'll find places to eat, shop, buy train tickets, the Airport MRT, the bus station located at the East Side of the main building, and the other MRT lines. If you are wanting to travel by bus to other parts of Taiwan including the Eastcoast, Central, and Southern Taiwan, then you'll need to go to Q Square where buses serve these regions of the island.

The Taipei Metro Zhongshan Station (Chinese: 中山站; pinyin: Zhōngshān Zhàn, formerly transliterated as Chungshan Station until 2003) is a station on the Tamsui Line, located on the border of Zhongshan and Datong districts, Taipei, Taiwan. It is a transfer station between the Tamsui Line and Songshan Line. The station opened on March 28, 1997 for traffic on the Tamsui Line, and Songshan Line services opened on November 15, 2014. It is located in the middle of the underground Zhongshan Metro Mall and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store.

The Maokong Gondola (Chinese: 貓空纜車; pinyin: Māokōng Lǎnchē) is a gondola lift transportation system in Taipei, Taiwan. Opened on 4 July 2007, the Maokong Gondola operates between Taipei Zoo and Maokong. The 4.3 km (2.7 mi) line has four stations. The facilities of the gondola were contracted to the French company Poma.

Makin' a quick guide on how to master the Taipei Metro—otherwise, the Taipei MRT (Mass Rapid Transit).
It's a simple, yet extremely efficient metro system that'll get you from point a to point b pretty quickly. It also doesn't burn a hole in your wallet with their amazing Easy Card.
For the most part, it'll go to everywhere that you need to go within Taipei and New Taipei City. They're currently working on the Circular Line, which is set to release around Q3 of 2019.
It's supposed to make it way easier to get around New Taipei City.
