The Taiping Prison Penjara Taiping formerly known as Larut Prison and Taiping Training Centre) was established in 1879 and is the first and oldest modern prison complex in Malaysia. It was also the largest prison complex at the time.

Taiping Peace Initiative
The town of Taiping (which means everlasting peace) was born out of desire for peace and harmony. It is also a town of splendid beauty, of natural habitat with a setting of a lake, rivers and hills. It is also full of cultural diversity and a fascinating urban heritage.
Taiping is located in the state of Perak in Malaysia. It is some 70 kilometres south of the beautiful and famous island of Penang.
The town has many Malaysian firsts, among them Malaysias first railway (from Taiping to Port Weld), the first modern prison, the first museum, the first hill resort (Maxwells Hill, now knows as Bukit Larut), the first Lake Garden. It has many delightful tourist sites. Taiping is also home to a Commonwealth War Cemetery, dedicated to many war victims. It is one of best kept cemeteries in the region.

taiping lake is just outside the taiping downtown, next to the taiping jail. taiping is near penang, so the foods are similar to penang foods; like cot, prawn noodles, wanton noodles... and the fruits, mangoes, very very cheap... 3 kg for rm10. and very good magoes, with very flat seeds.

It is also known as the most haunted hotel in Taiping. But why? This British rest house is located next to a prison and it is said that the souls which got hung at the jail rest here. Meaning that some of the unseen visitors are brutal jail mates. But how true is this? Being warned to be one of the most dangerous places to do paranormal investigations, our team dared and tried their luck. But it was not a normal shooting day for us. Did the crews just get themselves into trouble?

湖畔边弯腰跨越过马路的百年老树，一直都是我想拍下的画面，照片拍过了，视频是第一次。
There are hundred over year trees along there Taiping Lake. I wish to record it for quite some times, first time for video here.
2. 太平博物馆
前往太平博物馆的途中，那沿途优美的风景挺英殖民风的，幽幽的树荫感觉犹如身在国外。抵达目的地才发现原来百年太平监狱就在对面。
While on the way to Taiping Museum, the scenery just nice, felt I was at Europe. When reached the museum, just realized that the 138 years old Taiping Prison is opposite of us.

HUKUMAN SEBAT
Akta Penjara 1995, Peraturan-Peraturan Penjara 2000 peraturan 131.
(1) Apabila mana-mana hukuman sebat dijatuhkan ke atas seseorang banduan di bawah peraturan-peraturan ini, dia tidak boleh dikenakan lebih daripada satu hukuman berkenaan dengan perbuatan atau perbuatan-perbuatan, atau peninggalan atau peninggalan-peninggalan yang kerananya dia dihukum.
(2) Sesuatu hukuman sebat tidak boleh dikenakan kepada banduan perempuan dan banduan lelaki yang berumur lebih daripada 50 tahun.
(3) Sesuatu hukuman sebat yang lebih daripada sepuluh kali sebat dengan rotan ringan tidak boleh dijatuhkan atau dikenakan ke atas seseorang banduan muda dan bilangan maksimum sebatan yang boleh diaward kepada banduan muda oleh pegawai Yang Menjaga ialah enam.
(4) Hukuman sebat dengan rotan hendaklah dikenakan pada punggung pesalah itu.

-Pegawai perubatan boleh mengesyorkan tiada apa-apa hukuman dikenakan lagi. -Pegawai Yang Menjaga hendaklah meremitkan hukuman selebihnya.

-Pegawai Yang Menjaga hendaklah mencatatkan dalam buku hukuman (bilangan sebatan dan apa-apa perintah Pegawai Perubatan)

Pada kali ini, saya ditugaskan bekerja di Taiping, Perak. Pada pendapat saya, Taiping adalah tempat yang bersih, tenang dan relax. Saya tinggal di Flemington Hotel.
Pendapat saya, Flemington Hotel memang selesa, kemas dan bersih. Excess sangat mudah sebab berdekatan dengan bandar Taiping. Berhadapan dengan Flemington Hotel pula ada Taman Tasik yang cantik. Kebanyakkan orang akan 'photoshoot' di situ termasuklah pengantin.
