DIY Taiwan Trip / Travel Guide 4D3N Itinerary - Oct 2019 - Taipei, Taichung - 25k-30k Budget ALL-IN
Explored Taiwan - 4D3N Itinerary - [DIY for 5pax]
⚠️This video mostly contains views, sightseeing shots (because we’re instagram babies too - we love to take insta-friendly pictures and go to insta-friendly places), and some useful information per location.
⚠️This video contains no chit-chats - so you are able to see directly all the location views/sceneries and shots.
⚠️ I stated some details regarding entrance fees per destination.
For those without details about entrance fee, it means entrance is free.
⚠️I apologize for some videos that are too shaky (Initially, we did not intend to actually do a vlog/film for this trip. But now I just did so anyway, to help future Taiwan travelers out there.)
⚠️ As of October 12, 2019 - Taiwan is still visa-free so we it was not necessary to have a visa going to Taiwan during this time.

Note: At the end of the trip, I still had around 3000php in excess from my pocket money (included that i already bought pasalubong)
I recommend you download the HERE WeGo app and also download offline version of Taiwan map. This app is very helpful going around taiwan. It’s like a human Waze app.

I was so glad to see the Taoyuan International Airport MRT line open earlier this year. This finally brings Taipei in line as far as convenience and access goes, to it’s international airport, with other major cities in East Asia including Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Southeast Asian centers like Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
Like most airport trains across Asia they do not operate 24 hours a day so if your flight arrives outside of the 6am to 23:00 train schedule then you’ll have to use a bus, still fairly convenient or catch a taxi.
At NT$160 for a one way ticket the Taoyuan Airport MRT is the bargain of East Asia for airport rail fares.
As I mentioned in the video Taipei Metro offers a number of unlimited passes ranging from 24 hours to 72 hours. These passes are not valid for the airport MRT. If you’d like an unlimited pass that includes a return trip on the airport MRT then purchase the “Joint Ticket” at the airport MRT counter.
At the airport and at Taipei Main Station you can purchase an Easy Card or iPass which you can load up and use on the airport MRT, Taipei Metro, many bus lines and convenience stores.
This video should cover most of your questions regarding travel between the international airport and Taipei Main Station. For more information visit their website:

Taipei and New Taipei buses to require passengers to swipe upon boarding and alighting
Starting July, a new fare payment system will launch on public buses in Taipei and New Taipei. All riders will have to swipe their fare card two times, once when they board and once when they get off. Currently, riders swipe either once or twice based on how far they travel.Taipei''s Public Transportation Office says the new system will help them gather big data on bus ridership, which will be used to design future routes and timetables. From July to February, passengers who remember to swipe twice will be entered in a prize draw. Starting February 2020, passengers who forget to swipe twice will be penalized, becoming ineligible for discount fares when transferring to the MRT.
NiouRouMian at NanMen Market, Taipei
We enjoyed absolutely amazing Beef Noodle Soup at this shop in NanMen Market (2nd floor food court) in Taipei. We tried the varieties with tomatoes and with sauerkraut.
NanMen Market is easy to get to: Take the MRT, red or green lines, and get off at ChiangKaiShek Memorial Hall Station and take Exit 2.

Taiwan & Japan Travel Vlog
I just got back from my work trip and I have a travel vlog all about it! Taiwan and Japan were wonderful places to visit. Great food, kind people, and amazing weather the entire time. I'd love to get your opinion on this and if it's something you'd like to see more of in the future. I don't get the opportunity to travel for work too often, but whenever I do, I can easily make a vlog out of it if that is something you'd like. As always, I appreciate you for your time and interest.

Longshan Temple, Taiwan | Unbelievable Experience | How To Seek Fortune Telling From Lord Buddha
---------------------------------------------------------------
The Longshan Temple is the most famous temple in Tainan and was built in 1738 by settlers from Fujian. Located in Taipei, Wanhua District, this temple is the oldest and has survived through several natural disasters and wars. Taipei residents have continuously renovated and improved the temple and they believe in this temple a lot. It represents worshipping a mixture of Buddhist, Taoist, and deities like Mazu. Entrance is free in this temple but you can always donate for the temple’s maintenance. It’s indeed very beautiful.
The most interesting part in this temple was the fortune telling, so many people were throwing the stones and picking up the stick in a hope to get answers to their questions. It’s a little long process but then, in the end, it’s all about belief. I have tried to bring to you all the exact process from a local Taiwanese.
Hope you all enjoy it! ????
Located one block to the east of the temple is the historic Bopiliao (剝皮寮), a walking street with Qing Dynasty architecture and a museum

Nanmen Market The Best Traditional Food Market in Taipei
Nanment Market is the largest traditional market in Taipei with the freshest produce, seafood and more. You'll find the most variety of live seafood, fresh fish, chicken, beef, produce and hot pot fillers. There's no better place to grocery shop than Nanmen Market in Taipei. Mama and Papa Cheng make a cameo appearance after dinner.

Shifen Waterfall Info:
Shifen is well known for the Shifen Waterfall (十分大瀑布), a 40 metre tall waterfall that creates a rainbow as it splashes into the lake, widely regarded as the most scenic in all of Taiwan. The train station located down the river from the waterfall area, originally built for transporting coal, was built right alongside the Shifen Old Streets (十分老街), and today stands as a reminder of Taiwan's history and culture. With the marketplace surrounding the train station and the openness in which people can freely cross the tracks running straight through the centre of town, the marketplace area of Shifen is definitely an interesting place for visitors to check out.
The waterfall is located 30 minutes away from Shifen Old Streets by walking along either side of the tracks in the northeast direction.

Taiwan Walk - Dadaocheng (大稻埕) - 4K
In this video we’ll show you Dadaocheng (大稻埕), Taipei.
Dadaocheng (大稻埕) is undoubtedly one of Taipei’s most compelling neighborhoods and best places to explore on foot. While Wanhua, the historical Old City to the south, is a magnet for tourists, serious history & culture fans can’t miss Dadaocheng.
Twatutia, as Dadaocheng is pronounced in the Hokkien (Taiwanese) language, was once the second largest city in Taiwan after Tainan, the original capital in the south,
Most goods entered Taipei at Twatutia Wharf on the Tamsui (Danshui) River. Dihua Street, the area’s main thoroughfare, developed into a sprawling place of trade in tea, medicine, herbs, fabrics, and all manner of dried goods, as it remains today. The area also contains some of the most interesting temples in Taipei.
