The Tajrish neighbourhood is located along the northern edge of Tehran.
This is the best place of Tehran to experience the old and traditional view of the city.
Very young Iranian couple especially from other small cites and towns have lots of memorials here.
You can also enjoy modern life of Shopping centers here around Tajrish.
There are lots of old and popular songs about Tajrish like ‘ Labe pole tajrieshe... ‘ means that we are enjoining near Tajrish bridge ...

Tehran Grand Bazaar is the city’s biggest bazaar, and also the largest bazaar in the world with of more than 10 kilometers of flexuous covered alleys, which will confuse you definitely.
Is located in the south part of Tehran, near many important attractions, including the Golestan Palace complex. To get there by Metro (the best choice), take the line 1 (the red line) and get out at Panzdah-e-Khordad station.
Almost all the stores open from 8 AM to 10 PM in Summer and Spring and 9 PM in Fall and Winter.
Is a must have your lunch at Moslem restaurant at the beginning of Bazaar (they have the best Tahchin in Tehran).
Go find Haj Ali Darvishi teahouse, number 78 in the clock sellers section. It’s the smallest teahouse in Tehran (less than 3 or 4 square meter). You have to drink your tea while standing in front of the tea house. He will treat you like kings and queens and will give a memorial coin at the end!
Tajrish Bazaar
The Tajrish bazaar, in the northern parts of Tehran, is one of the oldest areas of Tehran, and is close to Emamzadeh Saleh Mausoleum as well as Velenjak, Darband and Darakeh mountain resorts. The name Tajrish is driven from the language of Tat which was the official language of Shemiran before choosing Tehran as the capital. It was built according to architectural styles of other traditional bazaars in Tehran.
Opening hours in Tajrish Bazaar is 8-9 AM and stores close at 10PM in Summer&spring and 9PM in Winter&Fall.
Don’t forget to have Ash or Halim in Seyyed Mehdi Ash store. It’s one of the bests.
Try some Kebab in Shemroon Restaurant. Their quality is good and you can have the best view of Tajrish square.

When you travel to Tehran, you will fall in love with the street food as soon as you arrive! Today, we're starting out with a local Iranian BREAKFAST haleem and NOODLE dish! Serving 100's of people every day!
It was found in downtown Tehran in an old bazaar, the Tajrish Bazaar, where there is hundreds of Iranian foods and spices to see!

After this, we're going DEEPER into Tehran by stepping into this HUGE BAZAAR, where there are 1000's of street foods and stalls to visit! This is before we bring you to a MASSIVE IRANIAN MEAT feast in a TRADITIONAL IRANIAN restaurant!
We found a MASSIVE bakery serving traditional Iranian food like Persian bread soaked with date syrup!
And then Mr. Taster brought us to the most buttery Koobideh kabab wrap! It was SOAKED with butter and incredibly juicy!
Next up, we're going to a local Iranian food served in LUXURY style, the PERSIAN MEAT PLATTER at Setaregan Ghaza in Tehran! Here, chef Kapitan Abhed uses his mastery to cook Iranian recipes and make the most tender kababs in the WORLD!
AND he covers it in a SAFFRON OIL and tomato onion sauce served with SAFFRON RICE!!
After tasting the meat platter in Tehran, Mr. Taster is bringing us to eat the MOST BUTTERY kabab bowl in Tehran, at Kabab Kasei Ardabil!

The Tajrish neighborhood is located along the northern edge of Tehran. This neighborhood is one of the oldest parts of Tehran and during the last few decades, has become popular with the wealthy by virtue of the low levels of pollution, in turn, created by the area's favorable location along Tehran's northern hills.
