Japan Railway Journal Episode 65
Amaterasu Railway: A Tourist Attraction Making the Most of a Discontinued Line
Amaterasu Railway was a third sector company located in Takachiho Town in the northern part of Miyazaki Prefecture. However, in 2005 the line was severely damaged by a typhoon causing all services to cease. Following the closure, local supporters reopened the line as a tourist spot. The main attraction of the line is a refurbished mini truck that runs through a beautiful green landscape before crossing a 105m high railway bridge (the highest in Japan). See how Amaterasu Railway has been attracting visitors from all over Japan. Then, in Trains in Focus join us on JR's Umisachi-Yamasachi tourist train that also operates in Miyazaki Prefecture.

Takachiho - Kyushu, Japan
Takachiho is a small town in the mountains of Kyushu, known for its deep gorge and for its shrine that hosts nightly yokagura dance performances. These dances tell stories of the Japanese creation myths, such as the story of the sun goddess Amaterasu Omikumi who hid in a cave bringing darkness to the world.

Japan Trip: Takachiho Shrine at scared ground Enjoy Yokagura , Kyushu Miyazaki No.003
According to myths, Takachiho is the place where Amaterasu-omikami, the queen of gods, descended. Takachiho jinja is a shrine built over 1200 years ago on the sacred ground. There used to be 554 shrines in this area. The 88 highest ranking shrines among them were the Takachiho 88 Shrines, and Takachiho Shrine is their soja(総社)(shrine where all relevant gods are enshrined).
A festival called Yokagura(night dances) is popular in the area. Myths are reenacted as Yokagura in a series of 33 episodes depicting the divine quarrel as well as other deeds of the gods. Kagura is a traditional dance performed by local men, its secrets passed down from generation to generation. The most famous of which is when the sun goddess Amaterasu hides in a cave. Her hiding in the cave causes the whole world to be broken into darkness. The Goddess Amenouzume is then said to have performed a amusing dance in front of the cave in order to lured her out. The dances are also a way for the villagers to thank the Gods for a good harvest and to guarantee the sun and the warmth will return in the spring. You can enjoy the re-enactment of the stories of the Gods during the night-long dances.
You can see highlights of yokagura dance EVERYDAY at the Takachiho main shrine.

This dance is about Japanese mythology.
Yokagura is said to have originated from the time when the goddess Amanouzume performed an interesting dance as a part to lure the sun goddess Amaterasu from the cave in which she enclosed herself offended by the misdeeds of Susanoo, her younger brother.

Takachiho is the area of one of the best known legends of Japanese mythology. In the story, Amaterasu, the the goddess of the sun in Shinto, got so outraged by her brother's cruel pranks that she hid herself in a cave, refusing to come out and depriving the world of her life-giving light.
All of the other gods and goddesses gathered to persuade her out. They tried everything they could think of to no effect until one goddess performed an outrageously ribald dance that caused the other gods to roar with laughter. Amaterasu left the cave to see what all the fun was about, and in doing so she Returned her light to the world.
About ten kilometers outside of central Takachiho, Amano Iwato Shrine (Amano Iwato Jinja) was built close to the cave where Amaterasu is said to have hid herself away. The shrine's main buildings are placeed on the Opposite side of the Iwato River from the cave.
Amano Iwato Shrine
Hours: Always open
Closed: No closing days
Admission: Free
The cave cannot be approached, however, there is an observation deck behind the shrine's main building from where you can see the cave across the river. To access the deck, you need to inquire at the shrine entrance, and a priest will give you about 20minutes guided tour in Japanese.
Guide hours 8:30-16:30
Free of charge
A short walk down the road from Amano Iwato Shrine is a path that leads down to the river below. You will see neat little piles of stones stacked along the river by previous visitors to mark their pilgrimage to this power spot after a few minutes on this path. Farther along, the stacks become more numerous until you are surrounded by literally thousands of them as far as you can see.
Eventually the path leads you to a simple shrine inside a cave known as Amano Yasukawara. This is said to be the cave where the gods and goddesses met to discuss their strategy of persuading Amaterasu out of hiding. The natural beauty of the cave and river lined by many stacks of stones make Amano Yasukawara a place not to miss.

Japan in Nazca, The land of Dragonfly
In the Kojiki and the Nihon Shoki, theclassical Chronicles of Japan, Japan was called “Akitsushima”, literally the Land of Dragonfly”, in which Akitsu means dragonfly.
And it is quite interesting to say that in the Nihon Shoki, it is mentioned about Emperor Tenmu who described Japan land when he viewed Japan from high above the sky as followa.
“The Japan Land looks like a dragonfly in copulation.”
This is a very important part of this video.
Emperor Jinmu described Japan when he viewed Japan from high above the sky as follows.
“The Japan Land looks like a dragonfly in copulation.”
You see a land mark in Nazca, a dragonfly in copulation.
Hiroshi Hayashi++++++++++++
No one knows from when and who started calling Japan, Japan.
In ancient times of Emperor Jinmu in “Nihon-shoki” and Emperor Yuryaku in “Kojiki” Japan was called “Akitsu-shima”, which literally means, Island of Dragonfly.Ancient name of Japan was Akitsui-shima.
Today’s story starts from Mt. Takachiho which is no doubt the holiest of all holiest mountains in Japan.
At the foot of the mountain Takahara-town (High Hara Town) is located.
The summit of the mountain looks like a shape of a pyramid.

Nazca Theory by Hiroshi Hayashi(ナスカ理論byはやし浩司)
What is Nazca and what are the Lines and Line Pictures in Nazca?
Here in this video I would like to prove with evidence that Japan was the holy land for all Gods in ancient times.
You can see a line picture of Japan in Nazca together with a line from Mt. Fuji, the line from Mt. Fuji which crosses the line picture exactly at the same point of Mt. Fuji on the actual map of Japan.

Social Consciousness com writes as follows:
Our history is not what we think!
Over the past few thousand years, we have warped our own history.
Our versions of the past has been mistranslated, changed, altered, and skewed to fit our understanding of reality, and completely left our many things that we cannot explain.
Today, we are going to look at an alternate version of our history, a version that was recorded across many ancient tablets and artifacts throughout time, which have only recently been uncovered.
