When I thought that cherry blossoms were just flowers, I clearly wasn't expecting myself to turn into a fanatic who would go admire those beautiful guys four times a week for sunrise, sunset, and the evening. Be it white, pink, blue, or purple, the flowers looked unique from all angles!

JOETSU, JAPAN ADVENTURE (PART 1)
Joetsu is located in Niigata Prefecture Japan where there are lots of hidden places to discover.
We found a very nice park near the seaside, which is also beside the Joetsu Aquarium or the so called UMIGATARI.
Few walk from that park, we found a happy place called UMINEKO CAFE where you can experience the overlooking view of the sea. Lots of people visit this place to eat. You should definitely try it! The food and the view were great!

The Takada Park is known as a splendid night sakura viewing spot.

When you spend time looking at a picture rather than glancing at it to extract the main features, your eye comes to rest in a peaceful place.
The Moving Stills series is an investigation into what happens when a scene is captured and presented with the technical quality of a monochrome silver print - however, the photograph is live with movement.
Something barely nothing, with your eye hunting to see if it's actually playing of frozen, then something small in the distance or a tiny butterfly, a flower moving in the breeze. Other times the movements are strong, with textured rain and vehicles large in the frame. This is an investigation into composition of a scene and of letting the scene unfold in natural motion.
Technical
Captured on our trip to Japan late 2016, with the new SONY RX100 mark V camera. I filmed on auto with default picture profile as it seemed to work best for recordings which I would turn into monochrome. Minimal grading and in some cases the recording was slowed down. Edited on a 2015 MacBook Pro (top spec) with a 6TB LaCie Thunderbolt HD attached.

Takada Park is located in Joetsu, Niigata Japan and considered as one of Japan's Three greatest cherry blossom night view. It offers a seasonal beauty all throughout the year.
It is home of the castle ruins, the Takada Castle, a restored three-story pagoda. This castle is illuminated during spring season and also has been selected as one of Japan’s top three castle night views, along with Osaka and Kochi castles.
During summer, Takada Park offers a dazzling view of lotus flower in full bloom. Also in Autumn, this park is filled with Autumn colors a perfect spot for autumn foliage. While in winter, a picturesque view of snow is highlighted.

Sakura's Full Bloom in Takada Park (Niigata) 新潟高田公園
Maintained around Takada Castle, the whole is designated as a historic site in Niigata Prefecture. The topography of the current park reflects the construction that was carried out by the old 13th army division in 1907 when the moat was dug. The park is about 50 hectares in size and is located in the heart of the city and is one of the largest parks in Japan. Takada Park shows a different side of itself throughout the four seasons. It is perhaps most famous in spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The park and surrounding area contain about 4000 Somei Yoshino cherry trees. The triple turret castle amidst a backdrop of cherry blossoms and lanterns make Takada Park one of the three best places in Japan for cherry blossom viewing. The Takada Park 100,000 Visitors Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year from early to mid-April.
