????????????Walking around Takasaki (高崎), Japan【4K】Gunma Prefecture
????????????Walking around the city of Takasaki (高崎市), Japan (日本), Gunma Prefecture (群馬県). I was walking around JR Takasaki station (JR高崎駅) of West Exit (西口) (高崎駅西口). Takasaki is a city located in Gunma Prefecture. The estimated population is 368,667. It’s the biggest city in Gunma. “Takasaki is famous as the hometown of the Daruma doll, theoretically representing the Buddhist sage Bodhidharma and in modern practice a symbol of good luck. Takasaki is a regional commercial center and transportation hub and is a major industrial center within Gunma Prefecture.” from Wikipedia. I walked around about 36 minutes. As you can see, Takasaki is a great residential and shopping area. It’s just 1 hour away from the central Tokyo area with a bullet train. I recommend living here.

An onsen paradise bringing together famous hot springs starting with Kusatsu; it is also known for the World Heritage site of the Tomioka Silk Mill
Area Characteristics
Gunma Prefecture which is located in the northern Kanto region is rich in onsen. Numbering more than 180, the prefecture is known for its numerous famous hot springs among which are the big 4 onsen of Kusatsu, Ikaho, Minakami and Shima in the north followed by other major springs such as Manza and Sarugakyo. There are natural features such as the Special Natural Monument of Oze and the southern Mt. Akagi whose plains at the bottom are the 2nd-longest in the nation after those of Mt. Fuji, so it is an area that is surrounded in onsen and natural beauty. Japan’s first silk mill in the city of Tomioka was registered in 2014 as a part of the World Heritage site known as the Tomioka Silk Mill and Related Sites. There is good access to Gunma from the capital and the prefecture is popular as an easy tourist destination for a day trip or an overnight stay.
Major Sites
Kusatsu is a popular sightseeing spot as it is one of the Top 3 Onsen in Japan boasting the largest output of natural water in the country. There are also other tourist spots such as a hot spring area where mineral deposits are harvested and a dry riverbed in the west. Along with Shima Onsen, there are also other famous springs such as Manza Onsen which is located at an altitude of 1800m and Oigami Onsen which is near Oze. The onsen can be enjoyed along with winter sports. The Kiryu Textile Memorial Hall which displays 1300-year-old Kiryu textiles deserves to be seen along with a trip to Tomioka Silk Mill. As well, other sites include Gunma Safari Park and Mt. Myogi which has been selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Views.
Food
Konnyaku (a jelly made from the konjac plant) is a Gunma specialty. At Konnyaku Park, you can enjoy a tour of the factory and a buffet. During the festivals, there are the ever-present yaki-manju buns at the food stalls, and the popular three big udon of Gunma: Mizuzawa Udon, Tatebayashi Udon and Kiryu Udon. As souvenirs, Gateau Rusk and Shimonita Green Onion Crackers are famous.
Transportation
Accessing Gunma through Takasaki is convenient. The city can be reached from Tokyo Station within about 50 minutes via the Joetsu Shinkansen (Bullet Train). From there, you can take a bus to reach Kusatsu and Ikaho. It is usual to drive around the area by rental car.
Accommodations
Of course, there are accommodations at the big 4 onsen as well as in the onsen areas of Shibukawa, Oigami, Manza and Sarugakyo and the highlands including Kita-Karuizawa. Also, there are many such facilities in the areas around easily accessible Takasaki and Maebashi.

☆Bits of knowledge〜Ueno Station〜
Ueno Station (上野駅 Ueno-eki?) is a major railway station in Tokyo's Taitō ward. It is the station used to reach the Ueno district and Ueno Park -- which contains Tokyo National Museum, The National Museum of Western Art, Ueno Zoo, Tokyo University of the Arts and other famous cultural facilities. A major commuter hub, it is also the traditional terminus for long-distance trains from northern Japan, although with the extension of the Shinkansen lines to Tokyo Station this role has diminished in recent years. A similar extension of conventional lines will extend the Takasaki Line, Utsunomiya Line and Joban Line to Tokyo Station via the Ueno-Tokyo Line from March 2015 on existing little-used tracks and a new viaduct.

【How to change traines at JR Tokyo Station . Vol.1 】 track no.1 〜no.10 東京駅ガイド/在来線乗換
This video shows Introduction to Tracks of JR Tokyo Station.
I walked from Marunouchi Central gate towards Yaesu Central gate.
Perhaps watching this video will make it easier for you to change trains at Tokyo Station.
Track no.1 and no.2 are for the Chuo line.
It is convenient to take this train to go to Shinjyuku where the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office is located, Kichijyoji, Hachioji and Mt.Takao.
Track no.3 is for the Keihin Tohoku line north.
This line runs from Shinagawa Station to Tabata Station through the same station as the Yamanote line.
Track no.4 is Yamanote line Inner Tracks.
Yamanote line Inner Tracks goes around counterclockwise at the center of Tokyo.
Next to Track no.4, there is a staircase that goes basement.
Government Office is located, Kichijyoji, Hachioji and Mt.Takao.
Track no.5 is Yamanote line Outer Tracks.
Yamanote line Outer Tracks goes around clockwise at the center of Tokyo.
Track no.6 is for the Keihin Tohoku line south.
Since it is in the same platform as the Yamanote line, it is convenient to change the train.
Track no.7 and 8 are Ueno/Tokyo line, Utsunomiya line, Takasaki line and Joban line.
Utsunomiya line is bound for Utsunomiya, Tochigi pref. through Ueno, Urawa and Omiya.
Takasaki line is bound for Takasaki and Maebashi, Gunma pref. through Ueno, Urawa, and Omiya.
Joban line is bound for Mito, Ibaragi pref. from Ueno and Nippori through Matsudo and Kashiwa, Chiba pref., and there are limited express trains.
Track no.9 and 10 are Tokaido line.
Ueno/Tokyo line and Tokaido line are bound for Yokohama through the main station, and there are also limited express trains for Izu.
After passing Track no.10, you will see the Shinkansen platform.
The ticket gates for the Tokaido Shinnkansen bound for Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka,
the Tohoku Shinnkansen for Sendai, Aomori and Hakodate, the Joetsu Shinkansen bound for Niigata and the Hokuriku Shinkansen bound for Nagano and Kanazawa are located on both side of this central passage.
Tokyo station is very large and complex.
I would be happy if this video was a little helpful.
Please see other route guidance.
It was Kawa-chan! !
I'm sorry
I'm sorry.
”5:30 voice mistake”
This is not the Tokaido Shinkansen but the Tohoku Shinkansen.
