お箸は、古来より使った人の霊が宿ると信じられています。 むやみに捨てると禍があるといわれ、使わなくなったお箸を折り、 霊を自分に戻すという箸折り峠の伝説もあります。たくみの里では毎年11月11日に箸供養会を実施しています。毎日使ってきたお箸に対して感謝の気持ちをささげ、五穀豊穰・無病長寿を祈願した上でお箸のお炊き上げを行い、お箸を焼納いたします。
