About this video:-
These video is a fully describing video and child safe video.
Location: Rangpur, near Sivasagar, Assam
Largest among all Ahom monuments, the Talatal Ghar in Assam was initially built as an army base. It is located near Rang Ghar (yet another specimen of Ahom architecture) and was built by Rajeswara Singha.
Talatal Ghar has three storeys that are underground (closed for tourists) and four above the ground. The ground floor had store rooms, stables and servant quarters, while the upper floors were for the royal family. It has been built with bricks and varieties of cement and an arched door that resembles Mughal styles of architecture. a large terrace, a temple with octagonal structure and a few small chambers form the major portion of the edifice. Recent excavations by the Archaeological Survey of India also reveal that there had been wooden structures and logs as well.
There are two secret underground tunnels that connect to Dikhow River and Ghargaon Palace respectively. They were used as routes to escape enemy attacks. You can also explore the ammunition store called ‘Khar Ghar’ situated near the palace.
The Talatal Ghar or the Rangpur Palace is situated in the northern region of Assam and is one of the most impressive of Tai Ahom architecture. Not only does it stand as a worthy testament to the vibrant Assamese culture and its rich history, but it is also the largest of all Ahom monuments in the entire world. History buffs and architecture lovers should add Talatal Ghar to their go-to list.
Boasting of a typical Mughal architecture style, the upper ground floor of the Talatal Ghar is popularly known as Kareng Ghar and was used by as a live-in palace by the royalty of Assam. Raja Swargdeo Rudra Singha, the successor of Swargadeo Rajeswar Singha, added these top floors during his regime making the Talatal Ghar an elegant and truly spectacular seven-story royal palace.
An interesting fact about this stunning monument is it has been built with purely organic materials - bricks and organic cement (a mixture of rice powder and duck eggs). What is truly notable is that this structure has been standing tall and strong for centuries.

मछली, चावल और अंडो से बना है इस महल का सीमेंट | Cement of this palace is made of Fish, Rice and Eggs
Today's video is about Talatal Ghar & it's Mysterious cement in Hindi Language. In this Episode i am at Talatal Ghar palace. The Mysterious cement of talatal ghar palace is made of some kind of fish, rice and egg. This is a 250 years old palace called Talatal Ghar. Which is located in Rangpur in Sivasagar (A City in Assam). This palace is made of brick and an indigenous type of cement (a mixture of Bora Chaul - a sticky variety of rice grain - eggs of swan, etc.). The Talatal Ghar had two secret underground tunnels. One, about 3 kilometres in length, connected the Talatal Ghar to the Dikhow River, while the other, 16 kilometres long, led to the Garhgaon Palace. However the first Ground Penetrating Survey (GPR) in the northeast, undertaken at two Ahom monuments in Sivasagar district in early April 2015, has not revealed the existence of any secret tunnel. The survey was carried out by IIT-Kanpur, in collaboration with the Guwahati circle of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), over a period of five days at Talatal Ghar and Ahom Royal Palace (Kareng Ghar), both in Sivasagar district.

Sivasagar Sivadol (meaning the temple of the Lord Shiva) is a group of structures comprising three Hindu temples of Sivadol, Vishnudol (meaning temple of the Lord Vishnu) and Devidol (meaning temple of the Goddess Durga) shrines, and a museum. These are located on the banks of the Sivasagar (the ocean of the god Shiva) tank, also known as the Borpukhuri tank, in the heart of Sivasagar, in the Indian state of Assam. The tank was constructed between 1731 and 1738 and the temples were built in 1734 by Bar Raja Ambika, queen of Ahom king Swargadeo Siba Singha. The height of the Sivadol (dol means temple in Assamese) is 104 feet (32 m) and the perimeter is 195 feet (59 m) at the base. It is crowned with an 8-foot (2.4 m) high golden-dome. The Sivadol or Shiva temple, built in the Shikhara architecture, has a central tower which is said to be the tallest Shiva temple tower in India at a height of 104 feet (32 m). The Shikhara or Vimana (temple tower), which rises above the sanctum sanctorum, has a four-tiered, 8 feet (2.4 m) mastaka and is crowned by a kalasha made of gold. Which british tried to take to London. But they did not because of the mysterious power of this shiva temple in assam.
