Talkin Tarn
Location: Talkin Tarn lies 9 miles east of Carlisle and two mile south of Brampton on the B6413 Castle Carrock road.
The word “Talkin” apparently consist of two elements; “tal” meaning “brow”and “kann” meaning “white”. Both elements are of the old Brittonic dialect known as Cumbric, which was the original language spoken in the area. The word “Tarn” is derived from Old Norse “tjǫrn” and then Middle English “terne” meaning “small pool” or “small lake”.
This 65 acre lake was formed toward the end of the glacial period (10,000 years ago) and is and is fed by underground streams. A 1.3 long flat path follows the tarn and is ideal for a lazy weekend stroll through mature woodlands.

Business Description
Business History
Preferred Commercial is delighted to offer for sale this Bespoke Teashop Business For Sale in Brampton Cumbria, which was established by our client in 2011 and which is only now being offered to the market due to our client's ill health. The business trades 6 days a week and generates a turnover in the region of £35,000 per annum with a gross profit of 80%. Our client specialises in tea, fresh barista coffee, homemade cakes, scones, pastries, sandwiches, ice cream and a selection of cold beverages. We feel the turnover could be further increased by trading 7 days a week and by extending the opening hours. A new owner could offer an outside catering service and host local meetings and events etc. There is also scope for a new owner to utilise the teashop's name to expand to other similar sites. The business has an enviable reputation and is renowned for its unique, traditional cups and saucers product displays. Our client ethically sources the tea and coffee used. The property has recently been refurbished and has been finished to a high standard throughout. Early negotiations with Preferred Commercial must come highly recommended.
