Tel Aviv Crafts Fair
Tel Aviv's Nahalat Binyamin arts and crafts fair is the largest of its kind in Israel.
Every Tuesday and Friday, rain or shine, handpicked artists and craftspeople of all stripes set up booths in one of Tel Aviv's oldest neighborhoods, Nahalat Binyamin. Here in the textile district of the Mediterranean city is where everyone is welcome to browse Israel's largest selection of handmade items.
One of the rules of the market is that the artists must man their own kiosks. That gives them a great opportunity to form personal relationships with customers, who come from far and wide and number as many as 10,000 per week.
Some of the 200 artists sew, paint or sculpt their wares right on the spot, made to order.

Wall to Wall Art: Tel Aviv Israel Pop-Up graffiti museum. free admission. Not to miss
For six days in January (1-6) a Tel Aviv building will become a museum of young and contemporary street art, in the framework of the Pop-Up Museum TLV project. Works of about 90 artists depicting dreams, love, social media and life in Tel Aviv will adorn the walls of the building, which will be completely leveled when the project is over
In recent years we’ve witnessed the art establishment’s warming to – even adoption – of street art. What was once deemed underground and plain illegal, done in the dark of night on sketchy streets, unvalued, covered over and erased, has increasingly been absorbed into the cultural and artistic mainstream as municipal bodies and museums around the world gradually understood the power of street art. The about face in attitude includes an acknowledgement that it attracts tourists, provides employment for tour guides and artists, and it breathes life into the often staid art world.
THALES
That understanding is behind the Pop-Up Museum TLV project, providing the framework for converting 13 apartments of a Tel Aviv building into a temp exhibit of young, contemporary, and even brash street art from January 1-6, coinciding with public participation. After six days of artistic creativity, the building is due to be torn down to its foundation as part of an urban renewal housing project.
“In the course of my foreign travels I encountered big buildings whose interior and exterior walls were converted into a giant canvas by various artists,” says Ya’ara Sachs, Pop-Up Museum TLV’s curator. “Artists take over hangars and warehouses with their works, and afterwards the buildings are destroyed. That seed for the idea germinated to cooperation between us and Anshei Ha’Ir (a real estate and urban renewal firm whose owners are involved in nightlife and the Tel Aviv experience). We decided to adopt it, seeking to promote young artists and leading artists who lack exposure. We’re talking about artists who generally don’t have a foothold in museums and galleries, some of them working half illegally and underground. Now they’re given legitimacy and an invitation to be creative.”

My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience.

Sri Sri founded The Art of Living as an international, non-profit, educational and humanitarian organization in 1982. Its educational and self-development programs offer powerful tools to eliminate stress and foster a sense of well-being through powerful breathing techniques such as Sudarshan Kriya and Yoga. Appealing not only to a specific population, these practices have proven effective globally at all levels of society.
What is Yoga?
The secret to health and happiness lies deep within every human. Yoga is the science of discovering one's own self - the very source of pure consciousness, peace and bliss. Everyone knows that we don't feel good and we get stressed when there is disharmony in our lives, when our bodies are tired and our busy minds constantly chatter and judge. Through the discipline of Yoga we become more aware of ourselves by doing simple postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and relaxation to rejuvenate the body and quite the mind. It is in this manner that we cultivate harmony in ourselves.
What is Meditation
Settling the surface mind is meditation. Living in the present is meditation. Relaxing deeply is meditation. When you are really happy, reposing in love, you are meditating. Meditation is that space when the thoughts have subsided, and the mind is in complete rest.
What is Sudarshan Kriya
Sudarshan Kriya incorporates specific natural rhythms of the breath which harmonize the body, mind and emotions. This unique breathing technique eliminates stress, fatigue and negative emotions such as anger, frustration and depression, leaving you calm yet energized, focused & yet relaxed. Millions around the world have done this unique practice and have reported better quality of life.

Tel Aviv: Israel's Cultural and Financial Capital
This week, we’re looking at the history of Tel Aviv. Since its establishment, this city on the coast has developed a big name for itself. It’s Israel’s commercial and financial center, bursting with startups and home to some major global companies. But, it’s not all work, work, work. Tel Aviv is also a cosmopolitan hub of cultural and art… not to mention the party capital of the Middle East.
Not bad for a city that’s just over 100 years’ old.
But how did Tel Aviv develop from the original seashell lottery of 1909 that marked the founding of the city? What’s the connection with one of the founding fathers of urban planning? And why does the city has the largest concentration of Bauhaus buildings in the world?
Let us know what you think about Tel Aviv in the comments below.

MANDATORY MILITARY SERVICE, GAY RIGHTS, AND MORE IN TEL AVIV, ISRAEL (short doc) | DamonAndJo
My two-week solo trip to Israel and Palestine has now become the most fascinating place I have ever visited. In this first installment (of four), I talk with many open-minded Israelis about everything from the gay scene in Tel Aviv to finding a good sahlav. I also successfully managed my way into asking about more tense topics like passport stamps between conflicting countries, the mandatory military service in Israel, and the occupation in Palestine. Yikes. And while I know this video will not satisfy either side’s politics, I hope you can watch this and realize that AT THE END OF THE DAY, both sides just want to enjoy their shakshuka IN PEACE. Damn.

Neve Tzedek Tel Aviv Israel Spring 2019 נווה צדק תל אביב
Neve Tzedek (Hebrew: נְוֵה צֶדֶק, נווה צדק, lit. Abode of Justice) is a neighborhood located in southwestern Tel Aviv, Israel. It was the first Jewish neighborhood to be built outside the old city of the ancient port of Jaffa. Originally a Mizrahi Jewish and Yemenite Jewish neighbourhood, for years, the neighborhood prospered as Tel Aviv, the first modern Hebrew city, grew up around it. Years of neglect and disrepair followed, but since the early 1980s, Neve Tzedek has become one of Tel Aviv's latest fashionable and expensive districts, with a village-like atmosphere. Literally, Neve Tzedek means Abode of Justice, but it is also one of the names for God (Jeremiah 50:7).

Tel Aviv Tour guide Israel
I am an official tour guide and got my diploma from the Israeli ministry of tourism.
I have worked in some interesting places such as: a guide for Camel Tours in the Negev (the Israeli desert), Farm Manager of a sheep and animal farm in the Western Negev, Journalist for the Travel Magazine and as a tour guide for the Progressive Judaism movement.
I think of my tours as a combination of the things I love, so I will talk a lot about architecture, history, art, culture and above all food.
