1.Tama Center Station
Tama New Town is a town where a high standard of urban infrastructure and a comfortable living environment in harmony with nature are systematically established on the solid ground of the Tama Hills.
A pedestrian road that is three-dimensionally separated from the roadway using the terrain of the hills, you can go out safely and with peace of mind.
Tama City has the highest percentage of city parks in the city area in Tokyo!
The entire city is surrounded by abundant greenery by parks, green spaces, and promenades arranged in a planned manner,
You can live a rich life while feeling the seasons in an environment like a park.
2.Tama Chuo Park
Tama Chuo Park is a park adjacent to the multicultural facility “Parthenon Tama”, which is also a symbol of Tama City. It is located on a hill with a large pond and a large lawn.
The site area is vast, 98,500 square meters, and is designated as a general park that represents Tama New Town. On the outer periphery of the park, there is a forest road planted with designated trees of each prefecture called `` prefectural wooden road '', and a stone distance pillar is set up on the route, so it can also be used as a 1km jogging course The The surrounding area is a town development that separates pedestrians and cars, and access to the park can be accessed through a pedestrian road, so families with small children can feel safe. The large pond on the lawn plaza is equipped with an emergency water tank and is designed to be used in the event of a disaster.
3.Tsurumaki East Park
A variety of plants are planted in the place named “Valley” and you can enjoy seasonal plants throughout the year.
Health equipment is placed on the large lawn open space, so you can exercise while having fun.
There is a harvest festival in autumn, and there is a sale of jam made from fruits collected in the park.
It seems to be called “Oyama Park” by locals, and there is a small mountain in the center of the park. This park is also used for shooting drama, special effects, and commercials because of the spacious lawn and the magnificent scenery you can see from the top of a small mountain.
In summer, you can enjoy playing in the water at Jabujab Pond.
There is a Parthenon-style outdoor stage in the park. Every summer, a “Tama Outdoor Concert” using the stage is held, making it a summer feature.

#5 Walk from Tama center station to Sanrio Puroland(多摩センター駅〜サンリオピューロランド)
I tried walking from Tama Central Station to Sanrio Puroland.
Tama center station is connected to the Odakyu Line, Keio Line, Tama Monorail and is easy to access from the downtown area.
In the vicinity there are many spots such as Tama Animal Park and Takahata Fudoson Temple and many green parks.
The station area is full of shopping spots and so on.
As far as I can say the city of Sanrio Puroland, as soon as I get off at the station Kitty Sinamo Pompom will welcome you.

A Day in Tama Zoo | Trip to Japan 2017
Here I show you some of the animals I saw when I spent A Day in Tama Zoo.
Tama Zoo is located an hour from central Tokyo by train. It has an extension of 52 ha (129 acres), which are divided into three large ecological zones: the Asiatic Zone, African Zone and Australian Zone, and the Insectarium.
In the eastern part of the Asiatic Zone, there are Japanese animals such as sika deer, Yezo brown bear, Japanese macaques and Japanese serows. The Asian elephants, greater one-horned rhinoceroses, Malayan tapirs, tigers, snow leopards, orangutans, and red pandas are exhibited in the western part of the Asiatic Zone.
In the African Zone there are African elephants, chimpanzees, lions, servals, cheetahs and the savannah-style enclosure of giraffes and great white pelicans.
The Australian Zone was constructed in 1984 and koalas have been displayed since then at Tama Zoo. There are also displayed the emus, red kangaroos, wallaroo, and Tasmanian devils.

Япония. Зоопарк Тама./Japan. ZOO Tama

Clean up ops near Tama River after typhoon passes
(13 Oct 2019) Clean up efforts began on Sunday near the swollen Tama river near Tokyo, after a powerful typhoon unleashed heavy rainfall and winds through a widespread area of Japan, leaving at least seven dead and 15 missing.
Tama was among several rivers that overflowed their banks after Typhoon Hagibis struck.
Many streets in neighbouring Kawasaki were still covered with mud.
Some 376,000 homes were without electricity, and 14,000 homes lacked running water, he said.
Boats as well as helicopters were sent to the flooded areas, while rescue crew dug through dirt in other areas to try to get people out from homes buried by landslides.
Several train service in the Tokyo area resumed early morning, although others were undergoing safety checks and were expected to restart later Sunday.

Tama Lakes Track :: Long White Gypsy
If you're in the central north island region of New Zealand and are looking for something a little more adventurous than your typical trip up Mt Ruapehu and shorter day hikes, then the Tama Lakes Track may be for you.
Little-known to many day-trippers, this track showcases some of the best that Tongariro National Park has to offer. Undulating hills through tussocky and wild terrain, capped off with panoramic views of two of the central north island's largest alpine lakes and abundant vistas of snow-capped mountain peaks.
The track itself is out-and-back (not a loop, as I had originally thought). The first section forms part of the Taranaki Falls Track (also hiked by me a few weeks back); the second (to the Waihohonu Track turnoff) part of the Round the Mountain track; and the last park a scenic but technical climb to the saddle and highest point of the track as it looks out upon the Upper Tama Lake.
Similar in length, the track has been touted as a fantastic alternative to the commercialised and often overcrowded Tongariro Crossing. Whereas the Crossing is one of New Zealand's premier attractions, the wild at heart may balk slightly at the hoardes of locals and tourists alike that grace its pathways every day, especially over the busy summer season. Far from unspoiled, the Crossing is dotted with the unsurprising signs of extensive human usage, most noticeably the recent addition of toilets every 1-2 hours. The Tama Lakes hike, in stark contrast, still retains it's wild grandeur, and whilst the track was 'busy', I still hiked large sections almost entirely without seeing another person.
If planning this hike, make sure you are prepared. You will need at least 1.5L (if not 2L) of water - there is no drinking water along the track. Also, except for the first small overgrown section, there is no shade or place to take cover on the track, so make sure to take adequate sun protection - an umbrella may also be a good idea for a little bit of respite from the sun. Be prepared for a short but steep climb up to the Tama saddle, and make sure to take plenty of photos! Trekking poles are invaluable to aid with your descent.
