Tamarindo: Beaches & Town | Costa Rica (Guanacaste)

In this video the travel turtles visit Tamarindo Beaches, in Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica. We share a tour of these beautiful beaches including BOTH Playa Langosta and Playa Grande. We also explore Tamarindo town, showing some of the local shops, bars, streets and main area. This area is the perfect location to completely chill out and relax, but with also plenty things to do such as surfing, shopping or enjoying the local restaurants and street food. . We flew here on a package holiday with TUI from the UK.

Costa Rica is the closest thing we have to a home base, we come here to catch up on work and get some R&R after spending months on the road. We usually stay in Playa Avellanas, a small surfing beach town located about 30 mins outside of Tamarindo.

Tamarindo Beach Costa Rica had been tagged as Miami of Costa Rica. Not for the high rise buildings next to the beach which we don't have anyway, but the high prices of everything on this beautiful beach.

We walked along the Calle Principal and visited Monkey Bar which is next to Best Western Hotel and later spent the sunset along the pristine beach of Tamarindo.

Up on the north west coast of Costa Rica is the chill but at times, rowdy, beach town of Tamarindo. Referencing the floral fruit that grows from the trees and is often used to season drinks, Tamarindo has grown from a tiny beach town on the pacific to a resort town but because of its geographic locations, it has remained petite.
