Wah taking so long to just edit these videos of my procrastination. Only super motivated because I'm receiving some DMs saying you're looking forward to the next Taiwan vlog hahaha!
Anyway from this day onwards, we sort of ran out of things to do in Taipei so we'll be heading outskirts the next day and also just probably doing random things the rest of the days! We're 2-3 vlogs more away from the end. This is taking up like 2 months after the trip already HAHAHA.
Anyway, Kiki was one of the better restaurants in Taipei for us - our experience with the food there so far was slightly underwhelming. I should have vlogged our experience when its exceptionally bland food haha, which unfortunately for us was 70% of the time.
Hope you enjoyed this vlog. For those who wants to go to Kiki - here's the address!

Taiwan vlog Day 11: Taipei(Tamsui old street, Original fluffy cake and delicacies, Fort San Domingo)
Went back to Taipei to spend the last couple of days!
Some locals I talked to recommended a trip to Tamsui which is on the red line. I tried their Original fluffy sponge cake! It was super soft and fluffy! Also tried two well known foods such as Ah Gei and their fish meat ball soup. It was pretty good but I wouldn't rage about it.
Checked out the famous Fort San Domingo and the former British Consular residence. Following was the former residence of Tamsui Township head Tade Eikichi. It was such a cute little Japanese style house. I would love to live there!(:
Tamsui has a lot to see, a lot of cool art and history. It's a nice play to walk around. I went when it was raining so it was a hassle carrying the umbrella but I had fun nevertheless.^^
Definitely worth checking out!

Apartment Light and Shadows designe by C.H. Interior, situated in Taipei, Taiwan.
This apartment faces west and has a great view of the Danshui River and its daily beautiful sunset. The light is substantial and air ventilation is excellent. The existing internal layout is quite open and shaped in a quite square shape. Based on the client’s demand the formal dining space was eliminated and the extra space was deployed to the bedrooms.
Designer Lu believes a good living space perfectly fits a client’s daily activity and living habits and the space must be optimized in the most efficient way. He persuaded the client to abandon a fixed guest room and turn it into a flexible space. The layout has a large area that faces the River and is completely open, as there only stands a partition in between that serving the TV panel.
This big open space can be used for entertainment, chatting and even as a dining space. Behind the ample living space, a hidden sliding door can be shielded to yield a formal guest room. Furniture pieces in the open flexible use space were custom designed to fit and meet needs quite unexpected. A sitting couch is also perfectly to take a nap, but the most of time it serves
the purpose of allowing one to contemplate the beauty of nature.
The size of the apartment is fairly perfect, not too big or small. The existing plan suffered from insufficient light and ventilation. Now Lu’s new plan gives each room a more comfortable scale and spatial ambience. The tactic in particular lies in the wardrobe design; Lu deployed independent wardrobes instead of those against wall; they act as both storage as well as spatial dividers.
Carefully plotted in this apartment; the space facing east is furnished in gray and blue to dialogue with the light in the morning; while the color hues on the west side is rather warm and bright. The living quarter is furnished with wood on both floors and the ceiling absorbs the too bright afternoon light and turns it into a more intimate quality.
The window facing the Danshui River is clad with a 60 cm width centimeter stainless band protruding out from the frame;
this material reflects the sky and directly joins with the river view thus forming an infinite view of nature. In many positions of this apartment one will find reflective materials; glass mirrors increase the spatial interest also amplifies natural lighting in the room. Wood veneer surface, white wall, and ceramic tiles are the most extensively used and they are carefully joined in proper proportion without being too showy or too dull. The gray tone lobby space has a tailored designed doorknob; it is shaped like abook opened by a gentle breeze.

Tam Sui Taipei 2015 淡水老街. IU(아이유) _ Friday(금요일에 만 台湾テレビの
Trip to Tamsui Old Street (淡水老街) and waterfront in Tamsui District (淡水區; formerly called Danshui District and also spelt Danshuei District and Tamshui Township) in New Taipei City, Taiwan (ROC).
Tamsui [1] (淡水, or Danshui, Danshuei, Tamshui) is a smaller city to the north of Taipei that was the center of shipping and commerce in northern Taiwan in the 19th century. The city is still popular with visitors from Taipei and boasts many historical attractions, and is a popular location for viewing the sunset.
Hongmao Castle (Fort San Domingo) (紅毛城, lit: Red Hair Castle) was constructed by the Dutch as 'Fort Anthonio' in 1641, and gained its present name in reference to the red-haired Dutch. The compound also served as the British Consulate in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It enjoys commanding views over the mouth of the Tamsui (Danshui) River. Address: 1, Lane 28 Zhongzheng Road, Danshui. MRT to Danshui Station (Danshui line), shuttle bus red 26 to castle. Tel:2623 1001.
Tamsui Old Street and waterfront (淡水老街): Located along the Tamsui (Danshui) River, this pedestrian shopping area offers tourists a wide selection of restaurants, arcades, and stores specializing in traditional handicrafts. Visitors can sample Tamsui's local specialties: A-Gei (crystal noodles stuffed in fried bean curd, served with a mild hot sauce), fish ball soup, and iron eggs (eggs which have been stewed in a mix of herbs and spices until pickled). The area is located right outside the north side of the MRT Danshui Station and stretches north to the ferry docks. Do try the food vendors which are located up and down the strip.
The Tamsui Ferry Pier is located near the north end of the waterfront area and offers ferry rides across the river to Bali Township, as well as to Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf further north. Tickets run around NT$50 to Bali, and NT$100 to Fisherman's Wharf. When taking the ferry don't stand outside unless you enjoy getting wet! Closed in the event of bad weather.
Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf (淡水漁人碼頭) is located further downstream from the town itself and offers a boardwalk, chic coffee shops and food stalls, and some seafood restaurants with prices that the average local would consider outrageous (but may seem reasonable to visitors from Western countries). Fisherman's Wharf is also a departure point for tourist boats traveling along Taiwan's scenic northeast coast. The Lover's Bridge, a single slanted tower cable stay pedestrian bridge, that is modeled after a sailing ship's mast and rigging, spans the harbor. The bridge is illuminated by different-colored lights at night, making this area a favorite with local couples and romantics, and a popular site for shooting Taiwanese serial dramas. Outdoor concerts are sometimes held in the amphitheater, and some of the restaurants feature occasional live music.

Jelly Lee (傑利 ) - live at Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Taipei, Taiwan
Live at the Museum is a series of films in which buskers and other artists perform without permission in front of major museums around the world. The democracy of art and the use of public space are key components of this work. It is an indefinitely ongoing series and while each work stands on its own, they are interconnected through a shared distance to global cultural agendas and a quiet beauty emanating from the covert act of street performance. Live at the Museum is an investigation into the collective and institutional affirmation given to culture, while also functioning as a digital archive to cache the contribution of its participants.

Taipei—A Hub of Culture and Convenience
Taipei, home to about 3 million people, is Taiwan’s political, economic and cultural
hub. Here, visitors can find a wealth of entertainment options, artistic wonders and
culinary delights. Getting around Taipei is also a breeze thanks to the city’s extensive
metro system, which serves more than 1.9 million passengers every day. Another
option for getting around is the YouBike public bicycle rental system, which has over
196 rental stations conveniently placed all around the city. Furthermore, Taipei has the
greatest density of convenience stores in the world. These amenities, coupled with the
city’s free Wi-Fi network, not to mention a host of other reasons, are why Taipei is
now considered a premier travel destination.
