Drive to Hamningberg - entering Båtsfjord municipality
Crossing municipalities also means crossing a small mountain. On narrow roads. In Mordor.
This song (Genesis by Ghost) also came on just as I approached the mountain, so, well, I had to hit rewind and - the timing worked out perfectly. Whodathought.

Northern Norway
Northern Norway is the geographical region of Norway, consisting of the three northernmost counties Nordland, Troms and Finnmark, in total about 35% of the Norwegian mainland. Some of the largest towns in Northern Norway are Mo i Rana, Bodø, Narvik, Harstad, Tromsø and Alta. Northern Norway is often described as the land of the midnight sun and the land of the northern lights. Further north, halfway to the North Pole, is the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, traditionally not regarded as part of Northern Norway.
The region is multi-cultural, housing not just Norwegians but also the indigenous Sami people, Norwegian Finns and Russian populations. The Norwegian language dominates in most of the area; Sami speakers are mainly found inland and in some of the fjord areas of Nordland, Troms and particularly Finnmark – though ethnic Sámi who do not speak the language are found more or less everywhere in the region. Finnish is spoken in only a few communities in the east of Finnmark.

Winter in the Heart of Lapland, Finland (Utsjoki)
Winter in the heart of Lapland, Finland (Utsjoki) // Utsjoki is a small municipality of 1200 people located in the very north of Finland. It is surrounded by Finnish and Norwegian mountains and the Teno river runs just between the border of these two countries. Utsjoki is especially known for extremely beautiful landscapes, wonderful people and the silence of the nature. One can see very strong northern lights almost every night throughout the winter if the sky is clear enough. In the summer time the sun doesn't set at all leading to nightless nights which are a totally unique thing to experience. Between summer and winter there is the gorgeous autumn when the nature turns completely red and orange because of the plants starting to get ready for the winter. Utsjoki is the definition of true Lapland and it's one of the few places everyone should visit at some point in their lifetime.

Turkey to receive $125 million for waste recycling projects
Investments aimed at promoting waste recycling in Turkey will be financed with a budget of up to $125 million, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development announced Thursday.
“The ‘Near-Zero Waste’ initiative, approved by the board of directors today, is set to drive a profound transformation of waste management in a move to help Turkey advance towards a more competitive, resource-efficient circular economy,” the bank said in a statement.
The new project involves financing of waste recycling investments in infrastructure, biomass and biogas facilities; technologies that reduce packaging waste; and use of alternative fuels in key energy intensive sectors.
The program plans to support up to 12 investment projects with a $125 million budget. It may be further supported by an additional $20 million from the ‘Clean Technology Fund’.
“With our new Near-Zero Waste program we aim to advance the circular economy in Turkey and kick-start the market of sustainable waste management,” Jean-Patrick Marquet, EBRD director for Turkey, said. “We believe that together we can set examples other companies will follow,” he said.
According to the statement, the bank’s new program came just after the success of the Turkish Sisecam-EBRD joint project which utilized cullet instead of mined raw material to produce glass.

Gdzie mieszka hobbit? ⤗ #8 Utsjoki-Rovaniemi ⤗ autostop trip w Finlandii | pocokocon
Siemka!
Do zobaczenia wkrótce!
