Tanglewood May Contain Nuts - Wild Garden in Cornwall - Gardens
Tanglewood May Contain Nuts - Wild Garden in Cornwall - Gardens
Tanglewood is a place shared equally by humans and wildlife which is why brambles, nettles and thistles etc are not looked on as weeds, but essential habitat and food source for birds, animals, and insects. The grass areas where mowed are left at a 4inch height to provide cover and protection for insects, and in the spring the abundance of baby frogs and toads. The four ponds and bog area provide a haven for wildfowl, aquatic insects and amphibians.
Tanglewood is quiet and secluded and is an enjoyable experience, beginning with a walk through mature woodland, then stepping out into the garden and pond area.
It is a place to visit at different times of the year to experience the seasonal changes.

Tanglewood Wild Gardens video
A brief insight into the history and evolution of the garden
Exploring Tangle Wood wild garden
Tanglewood is a wild garden. A place where you can run, walk or just sit and enjoy the tranquillity, peacefulness and wonderful wildlife. All efforts have been made to keep the garden natural with sympathetic planting of native trees and plants, mixed with some exotics. Tanglewood is probably not for those who prefer the more formal, manicured style of garden. If you are looking for family friendly things to do in Cornwall then Tanglewood provides for a great day out. It is very family friendly and offers something for every generation, from tiny tots to grandparents and is also dog friendly.

Trewidden gardens
This video is of Trewidden gardens at Probus, near Truro, Cornwall, UK. Trewidden is an estate made up of a lot of smaller gardens. The garden is just outside the village of Probus. From the end of the garden, there is a nice view which looks over this part of Cornwall and up to St Austell and the small hamlet of Creed can be seen in the valley.
I haven't uploaded a video for quite a long time so this long one is to make up for it.

The Godolphin Estate is a National Trust property situated in Godolphin Cross, 7 km north-west of Helston in Cornwall, United Kingdom.
The Estate is the former seat of the Dukes of Leeds and the Earls of Godolphin. It contains a Tudor/Stuart mansion, complete with early formal gardens and Elizabethan stables. The present house is remnant of a larger mansion. At one time it was a secondary seat of the Dukes of Leeds, but the Duke sold it in 1929.
The Godolphin Estate came into the ownership of the National Trust in 2007. The Estate measures 550 acres. The Trust has been improving public access to the Estate.
Godolphin Hill provides views over west Cornwall. More than 400 recorded archaeological features range from Bronze Age enclosures to 19th-century mine buildings.
