Taroudant medina and Agadir beach. Morocco
Taroudant (Berber languages: Tarudant, ⵜⴰⵔⵓⴷⴰⵏⵜ; Arabic: تارودانت), Morocco 2019
It is a city in the Sous Valley in southern Morocco. It is situated east of Agadir. Today the town is a notable market town and has a souk near each of its two main squares, Assarag and Talmoklate. There is also a weekly souk outside the city walls, near the future university district. The town walls are nearly 6 kilometres long and are set with bastions and punctuated by nine gates that are still in use. Outside the wall is a small tannery mainly in the business of travel equipment for camel riding, such as goat skin, camel hide sandals, leather bags and belts.

Travel VLOG: How Moroccan Leather is Made
We pick up day three of 7 with some sour milk in our gorgeous Marrakech Medina Airbnb. I struggle with my new job of navigating as we try to find our way to the Tanneries. Dodge motorcycles and make future travel plans.
Finally someone takes us to tour a tannery and learn how Moroccan leather is made. The tanners also are very big football (soccer) fans and they give me a ton of crap for my bag. After the tannery tour we have a very pushy store owner try to sell us some leather, rugs, and jewelry which made my mom and I uncomfortable. We end the day with a tour through the Medina and a gorgeous sunset.
Fun fact - the donkeys stand facing the wall because the sun is very hot.
Other fun fact: when you tour a tannery they give you mint to hold (and smell) to help cover up the smell of pigeon caca

Fez medina, Morocco
Fez or Fes (Arabic: فاس [faːs], Berber: ⴼⴰⵙ [faːs], French: Fès), Morocco 2019.
Fez is a city in northern inland Morocco and the capital of the Fas-Meknas administrative region. It is the second largest city in Morocco after Casablanca, with a population of 1.4 million (2014). Located to the northeast of Atlas Mountains.
The city has been called the Mecca of the West and the Athens of Africa,
The historic city of Fez consists of Fes el-Bali, the original city founded by the Idrisid dynasty on both shores of the Oued Fes. Fes el-Bali is the site of the famous Qarawiyyin University and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idris II, the most important religious and cultural sites, while Fez el-Jdid is the site of the enormous Royal Palace, still used by the King of Morocco today.
Medina of Fez is a World Cultural Heritage site (Unesco)
Since the inception of the city is Chouara Tannery. The tanneries are packed with the round stone wells filled with dye or white liquids for softening the hides.
