The headlining bands cut their sets short so Nirvana, who missed their performance slot after supposedly getting caught in traffic and/or at customs, could squeeze in a 30-minute set. However, according to the band's former agent, the band intentionally showed up late so they wouldn't have to play so early in the day.
Nirvana played using Rausch's equipment, resulting in Kurt and Krist playing on the opposite sides of the stage as usual.

ZZ Top, diese kleine Band aus Texas, die nun schon seit 50 Jahren in unveränderter Trio-Besetzung und mit unveränderter Spielfreude auftritt. 10.000 Fans haben sich deswegen im Kölner Tanzbrunnen eingefunden, um eine Band zu feiern, die sich inzwischen wieder auf ihre bescheidenen Anfänge besonnen hat. Ihre Mikrofonständer mögen aus verchromten Truck-Auspüffen sein, auch gibt es noch die mit Schafswolle umpuschelten Gitarren aus dem „Legs“-Video, aber die große Show bleibt aus. Gibbons wechselt mal zur Slide-Guitar, Hill ans Keyboard (auch das ist mit einem Auspuff-Topf verziert worden, wohl um weniger nerdig zu wirken), sonst passiert nichts Besonderes, aber trotzdem irgendwie immer noch Kult.
Die Setlist hätte im Vergleich zu den letzten Besuchen in Deutschland etwas Abwechslung vertragen können, grade bei einem Jubiläum, andrerseits… es sind halt einfach die besten Songs, die sie haben! Never change a running system!
Und somit endet diese Veranstaltung bereits nach 75 Minuten, aber immerhin war die Show bis dahin genau das, was man erwarten durfte ... nämlich Groovig!
