Hi all.
So back to Prepar3D - here is a video I've been wanting to make since listening to an audio book set in Trondheim. It sounds like a very calm and relaxing place, and I hope that will come across in this video :)
Here we see a Norwegian Air 737-800 making an evening arrival to runway 27, which takes us through a valley of pine forests as we descend towards the runway. The light is slowly fading and the shadows are long.
A little bit about the scenery - this is Aerosoft's Trondheim scenery for P3D (all versions) and it's also compatible with FSX. I have to say this is one of the best sceneries I've seen for any flight sim platform for quite a while - the textures and modeling are really superb, and it really adds to the immersion. I hope one day to visit Vaernes and see for myself how realistic their scenery is!

This is not a tutorial on how to fly the plane, but nearly a in flight video with Norwegian commentary. I am not a pilot or claim to be one, so do not use my skills to learn.
Made a horrible flight from Ålesund to Trondheim transporting 5 passengers to St. Olavs Hospital. Due to weather and the planes navigational expertise mixed with my own touch, we finally ended up on the ground, safe or not, divert or not, well you be the judge of that. I for one am glad I made it.

As you know, the Scandinavian countries are very expensive, so a good breakfast at the hotel can be your main meal of the day.
1. In Oslo I stayed at Saga Poshtel Oslo Central. Breakfast is very good for the hostel. Bed in 4-Bed Dormitory Room with Private Bathroom costs from € 50 per night. Sheets and towels included. Bathroom with shower. In Oslo, tap water is potable. The hostel is only 300 m from Karl Johans gate shopping street. Oslo Central Station is 8 minutes’ walk away
2. In Bergen I stayed at Augustin Hotel. Excellent breakfast. Single Room with Private bathroom costs from € 80 per night. The hotel is located next to the promenade. The UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf is a 10-minute walk away.
3. In Trondheim I stayed at Best Western Chesterfield Hotel. Breakfast was very good. Standard Double Room with Private bathroom costs from € 110 per night. The Hotel is located 200 m from Trondheim Central Station. Torvet, Trondheim's main square, is an 8-minute walk from the hotel.
