During you will see birdlife, dolphins and seals up close, as well as being up close to the massive cliff faces and cave inlets. The specially created boats allow you to experience everything much closer than a traditional passenger boat would. TASMANIA VLOG PT 3 // PORT ARTHUR & TASMAN ISLAND
We didn't realise how history rich, Tasmania was with Port Arthur & Tasman Island...
This would have to be our most exciting part of the trip, and going through the footage and images brought back a lot of memory.
My pronounciation on certain words were of a 4 year old, and it was the sheer cold weather that got me good, so forgive me.
For those who take the time to read, here are the links to the tours we did;

BRUNY ISLAND Tasmania: the Pennicott Wilderness Cruise Journey
#PennicottWilderness #BrunyIsland #Tasmania
TOUR of TASMANIA - BEACHES, WILDLIFE SANCTUARY, and PORT ARTHUR #travelvlog
We are going down under to Tasmania, an island off the coast of mainland Australia of extraordinary natural beauty and wilderness. Tasmania has turquoise beaches that look like the Caribbean and rugged fairytale landscapes.
First, we check out the beaches in the Freycinet National Park. Three of our favorites are the Crescent Beach, Wineglass bay and Honeymoon Bay with crystal clear water.
Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary - Located 30 min north of Hobart and is home to a variety of Aussie critters, including the Tasmanian Devil.
Tasmanian Devil is a marsupial, once present on the Australian mainland and is now restricted to Tasmania. It eats wallabies, birds, and reptiles and active mainly at twilight. Feisty yet cuddly.
Tasmanian Peninsula - We step back in time at Port Arthur Historic Site 19th Century when 12,000 convicts were sent here. It was once of the most brutal penal settlement in the British Empire, and only the hardened criminals were sent here. Port Arthur includes a 40 Minute walking tour and harbor cruise.
Facts about Tasmania: It has the cleanest air in the world due to its strong westerly winds. It was first discovered in 1642 by Abel Tasman, a Dutch explorer, although Aboriginal people have lived here for at least 35,000 years. Over 20% of Tasmania is Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, meaning it is very untouched and unspoiled, and much of the island is accessible only by foot!

Tamariki's Tasman Voyage Hobart to Picton
This is the documentary of Tamariki’s voyage from Hobart Tasmania to Picton New Zealand in May 2019. The film covers cruising parts of Hobart waiting for the weather - for the Tasman crossing only jump to 19min and 15 seconds.
Tamariki is a 45 foot Timber Ketch owned by Peter Mortimer from Auckland New Zealand . She has been cruising the Pacific for a number of seasons.
This last season saw her sailing from NZ to Australia via Vanuatu and New Caledonia, where Peter slowly worked his way down the Eastern coast of Australia to Tasmania, arriving in time for the biannual wooden boat festival and to meet up with Canadian cruising friends Serge and Joanne on the yacht Spirare a 35 foot Souther Cross design yacht.
Now that winter was arriving it was time to return to New Zealand and Peter had invited his son James and me to crew the yacht across the Tasman Sea.
