Satsuki Azalea Bonsai Exhibition at Ueno Park, Tokyo [iPhone 4S/HD]
I came across this small and open-air exhibition of bonsai on Satsuki azaleas while strolling around Ueno Park.
This massive public park is located next to Ueno Station which is one of the largest terminals in Tokyo. It has a few museums, a zoo, a temple, a shrine, 2500 sakura trees, and a large pond famous for its lotus. Everyday, there are small exhibitions, festivities and markets at this place. A great place to stroll around when you want to relax.

Japan: Kyu-Furukawa Gardens in Tokyo (6/7) 2013-05-26(Sun)1933hrs
- Kyu-Furukawa (lit. Formerly Old River) means in this case Formerly the House of Furukawa owned. Designed by the British architect, Josiah Conder (1852-1920), or popularly known as Kondoru-san in those days in Japan, the manor house (completed in 1917) as the main building has a subdued mock Renaissance style, which reminds visitors of such a sumptuous house of English country gentry if not aristocracy. The gardens make good use of inclines of Musashino Upland. The best feature of all is the Italian style Rose Garden, and May is the best time for a visit there. To create a relatively small Italian garden right in front of the mansion is very British indeed. Perhaps for this reason, the British military attaché used to occupy the premises as his official residence following Japan's surrender to the Allies in 1945. The Gardens are now a property of the Japanese Government and are classified as a place of scenic beauty by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs.

Kyu Furukawa - Japanese Garden, Tokyo ●
► The Kyu Furukawa Garden is a relatively young garden, which is actually funny, as its name means Old Furukawa Garden. It opened to the public in 1956, and consists of two very different garden-styles; One is a western style rose-garden (which I'm gonna ignore completely!) - and the other, a wonderful Japanese zen garden, which I am gonna show you an early spring version of in this little video.
Easy access, 10 minutes walk from either JR or Metro Komagome Stations. - Enjoy!

PINECREST AZALEA GARDENS
When Carl and Mettie Penzel purchased 52 acres of land not far from the little Southeast Missouri community of Oak Ridge in 1963, it was their plan to create a personal weekend retreat to provide a respite from the regular toils of daily life. Forty-five years later Pinecreast Azalea Gardens provides one of the most spectacular displays of springtime color in the state, and it can all be enjoyed by the public at no charge.
More than 300,000 jonquils and daffodils provide the first splashes of color in March, followed by every imaginable color of azalea and rhododendron. Prime viewing is usually late-April to mid-May.
Pinecrest Azalea Gardens is open to visitors from March through May. While a maintained driving path allows viewing of the magnificent color from the comfort of a vehicle, the full appreciation of this natural wonder can only be gained by walking the dozens of paths that wind through the different varieties of plants. The gardens are available for parties and special gatherings.
