ROUTE DIRECTIONS:
Disclaimer: The directions only represent my personal experience. I accept no responsibility for any losses or injuries resulting from following these directions. Hike safe!
Get off at Oji-koen station, walk west along the wall of the park, past the zoo entrance, and turn right at the Museum of Literature. Walk straight ahead up the hill all the way to the end of the (increasingly narrow) road, then cross the bridge to your right, and you’ll reach the hike’s starting point. (Get directions to here: )
Go up the slope to the left, and the hiking trail begins. Walk up and up the concrete slope, cross a few bridges over the stream, and keep following the signs to 摩耶山頂. Warning: there are lots of steps..!
Near the top, at the last ruins, turn left and wrap around to the shrine on top of the mountain, then go straight ahead over the hill, down the slope, to the road. Turn right, and you’re at the top. Enjoy the view!
Coming down, head back down the road towards the path you arrived on, and go down the stairs to your left. Follow the path down, turn left at the junction (look for the 摩耶ケーブル下 signs), then follow the signs all the way down… It’s a little confusing at 2 intersections: at one, you have to turn right and go UP the stairs (even though it feels like the wrong way), and then a minute later, you have to go DOWN the stairs and cross the river (even though the path looks very small). Then climb the stairs when you reach a small dam, down the other side, and you’re done! (End hike point: ). It’s an easy 15 minute walk back to Oji-koen station.
Japan must see places. Discover Takayama in Gifu Prefecture. Things to do in Sanmachi Old Town.
We did a walking tour of Takayama Old Street, traditional Japan. This place is under rated and a photographers paradise. The buildings are extremely well preserved, dates back to the Edo period. Houses are in good and clean condition. There's sake breweries, miso manufacturers here. Takayama Jinya, alongside historic houses of merchant families, two morning markets can be found in this quaint town. one
You are teleported to a different era. Your imagination is as far as the scenery can carry you.
We took the opportunity to try Hida beef and Hida milk ice cream. Find out out take on Hida beef, Takayama ramen, Hida ice cream in this food vlog:
Takayama was our base to travel out on day trips to Tateyama Alpine route, and Shirakawa-go. They are also the main reason why we are in Takayama.

Shinhotaka Ropeway ????~ Things to do at Takayama I vlog by Funny Bunnies
One of Japan's most unique ropeways, the Shinhotaka Ropeway has one of the largest elevation gains in the country! It climbs up the side of the Hotaka Mountain Range, which includes Oku-Hotakedake, Japan's third highest peak. Its most distinguishing feature though is its double decker gondola cars, the first of their kind in Japan, which offer excellent views of the Okuhida Region.

Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort | Snowboarding & cable car ride | Japan Travel EP #2
Yuzawa (湯沢) in Niigata Prefecture is one of the largest and the most easily accessed ski areas from Tokyo. You can be on the slopes from Tokyo Station in under two hours. Yuzawa is known for deep powder and a long season, with some of its resorts open from mid November to late May.
There are approximately twenty resorts in and around Yuzawa, varying in size from one to over thirty lifts. While some are near the town center, others are more remote, but they are all accessible by public transportation.
A few resorts team up to offer combination lift tickets that give you access to all of the participating resorts. They are typically connected to each other so that you can ski or snowboard between them.
Yuzawa is also known for its onsen (hot springs), with baths located at the ski resorts, hotels, public bath houses and shinkansen stations. Echigo-Yuzawa Station offers, furthermore, an all-you-can-try sake shop at which you can compare almost 100 different varieties of sake from Niigata Prefecture for 500 yen.
Japan walk - Shima Onsen (四万温泉) - 4K
In this video we’ll show you Shima Onsen (四万温泉), Gunma.
Shima onsen is located on the upper stream of the Shima river and is surrounded by mountains. It’s counted as one of the best three Onsen in the Jomo area along with Kusatu (草津) and Ikaho (伊香保). It is famous for the legend of healing forty thousand (四万 means 40,000) illness since the Kamakura period.
Okushima Lake (奥四万湖) is open to the public as a new sightseeing spot, and the Japanese style inns have been renovated while maintaining their ambience of a traditional hot-spring health resort and being careful to preserve important cultural property such as the Buddhist temple Yakushi-do (薬師堂).
Events are actively held, such as the Yudateshinji (湯立神事), an ancient Shinto ritual to pray for the safety of the hot springs. Shima-area enthusiasts are growing in number thanks to this exciting variety of attractions.
