Dave Tatsuno: Movies and Memories
Dave Masaharu Tatsuno was a Japanese American businessman who documented life in his family's internment camp during World War II. His footage was later compiled into the film Topaz (named for the Topaz War Relocation Center where he was confined). The film was placed in the National Film Registry, part of the Library of Congress, in 1997. He was a 1936 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.

Prior to July 1983 this line (which is still officially part of the Chuo Main Line) was the route taken by trains traveling between Tokyo, Kofu and Matsumoto (and intermediate stations).
Notice the long station platforms. In July 1983 a more direct route between Shiojiri and
Okaya was opened. Video clips are taken between Tatsuno and Shiojiri on 1st December 2019

The shrine of the Hiroshima's Guardian deity 鯉に祈る広島の守り神「広島護国神社」
Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine is the shrine of the Hiroshima's Guardian deity. Even the professional baseball team of Japan Hiroshima Toyo Carp comes to pray for victory. This shrine attracts the greatest number of worshipers in Chugoku Region on New Years Day who come to pray for peace and love happiness. Hiroshima Castle located nearby has been called the Carp Castle. for many different reasons from ancient times, so that's why the deity of the shrine is a carp. Visitors can enjoy a tour of the Hiroshima Castle. It is very popular, because you can have your pictures taken wearing a helmet of a medieval warrior.
Go visit the Hiroshima Castle in Hiroshima's city center.

Tatsuno Topaz Home Video
I had a hard time finding the full version, so I decided to share it with everyone. Sorry about the cropping. It came off a VHS, so it is not ideal.
The video was shot secretly with a video camera that was smuggled into the camp. It became part of the Library of Congress in 1997. Tatsuno claims that the footage doesn't illustrate the true feelings of it's subjects, as they were hamming it up for the camera.
This version also contains a reunion of Topaz internees toward the end.

Footage of a man standing near a public mailbox. Shots of people walking by store fronts. There is a sign on one store front which reads, United Press ___ Flashes. Footage of a Japanese woman smiling at the camera in front of the store. Couples greeting each other and talking in front of camera. Footage of the two couples (one Japanese, one Caucasian) playing catch and goofing around. They look like they might be on a college campus. Outside footage of what could be campus housing followed by indoor shots of a woman sitting at a dining room table and then playing piano. Footage of an older woman and young boy posing for the camera followed by footage of people on bicycles, boxes on the ground outside in what looks to be preparations for a bonfire (Location: President's Circle at the University of Utah or Weber College?) Footage of a parade going by the camera (military-themed parade?). Part of Japanese American Citizens League Collection [Accn1852; P1003]. Footage housed in Multimedia Archives, J.
